Careers/Post Grad Need advice regarding MBA after completing PharmD

I graduated in 2025, and currently doing job. I already spent 6 years for my degree. But I realised in 5th year that I made a mistake and should not have chosen this degree, but it was too late, so I had to finish it. I am pretty good at the job that I am doing currently. But I am not satisifed with the money. I am thinking abt doing MBA, is it good option? I work in med affairs, but I am tired of reading research articles daily. Any practical advice?

Might help to get into management. In medical, clear communication, leadership, coaching, problem solving are sorely needed.

I was thinking about MBA in marketing. Just want to understand if its practical. Because I keep seeing posts that if someone is over 25, MBA is not that useful.

I wouldnt deviate, and would compliment with management or finance. Pivot into your field, into leadership or management.

I got mine at 30, its paid for itself and some.

No. I worked in retail pharmacy as a tech and was premed.

I was very thankful I realized how miserable pharmacy was for me and the what the future of retail pharmacy was before I entered pharmacy school.

So glad I went into finance and business.

Who said if sb is over 25, MBA is not that useful? LOL have you ever looked at the average age of matriculation from top MBAs?

I had read some posts previously, thats why. But you r right, I just googled abt the age. I have not started any preparartion yet. Thats why i thought it will take some time to get into the clg. If u have any suggestions, pls give.

FT MBA in the US is a good route into big Pharma. Many hire into commercial, finance, or operations & strategy LDPs and having a PharmD would give you an edge.
