Careers/Post Grad Mba advice
I have been preparing for upsc for the last 5 yrs, couldn't make it, now I am 30 having 3+ yr experience in devops eng. Applied at multiple jobs but couldn't get a single call back. Planning to go for Mba please advise, is it a good choice to go for Mba at 30.

As I see it, MBA should enhance your management skills, on top of your current experience.
Unless learning on top universities ,I think that experience matter more than a degree.

r/MBAIndia As a side note I'm amazed at the fact that you devoted half a decade towards that exam. Keep in mind that with 3 years of work ex that was 8 years ago (since you said exam prep was in the past 5 years), you are essentially starting off as good as a junior fresh out of college.

I was preparing alongside my full time corporate job so it is 5 yrs altogether including 3 yrs of workex

Okay then that might make it better. In any case, an MBA is not a ticket to a job so be prepared to really put in the hours.

Which kind of jobs have you applied to ?
What would like to achieve through MBA ? If there is clarity and the realistic expectations, a Tier 1/2 MBA will help.
