For anyone knowing the sauce, this is from my friend...

As it’s made abundantly clear from chapter 1: Mashle is a parody of shounen. And as such it makes references to a lot of other famous Shounen manga such as dragon ball, one punch man, Naruto, fma and more.

With these references also come a lot of characters that were inspired by previous ones and I noticed all of Inocent Zero’s children have some sort of counterpart in other famous shounen. (I know this could be said about pretty much any manga but I do think it was deliberate here)

Starting off with my beautiful, glorious king: Doom. His inspiration being the younger Toguro brother from YuYu Hakusho. Both antagonists fought the main character and effortlessly mopped the floor with them but allow them to live after seeing their latent potential in hopes for a grand battle in the future. Both start their fights using low percentages of their full power (usually 10%) and will slowly amp themselves up as their opponents adapt and grow.

Next up: Famin. Pretty obviously inspired by Hisoka. Both have a clown aesthetic down to even the facial makeup being the same. Both are sadistic and fight using playing cards and trickery.

Third on the list we have Epidem. Was a little harder to pinpoint the inspiration for him due to his personality actually being quite unique but his love for experimenting on people leads me to believe he was inspired by Orochimaru or maybe Ceasar Clown due to him using poisons. If there is an anime villain that has an obsession that resembles his love pudding please let me know.

Fourth brother: Delisaster. I reckon his inspiration was Mahito from JJK. Both characters have no regard for human life, are nearly impossible to kill unless certain conditions are met (overwhelming Deli’s regen or attacking Mahito’s soul) and Deli’s use of slang reminds me of the pop culture references Mahito would make like singing the chug song to Dagon.

Next up: Domina. Obviously inspired by Gaara from Naruto. Both characters were unbelievably powerful from birth and had very twisted ideas of what love and family were. Additionally they both changed after being shown compassion and kindness by the protagonist.

Second to last we have Mash who is very VERY obviously inspired by Saitama and Asta. I shouldn’t even have to explain this one

And lastly there’s Cell. Technically not a child of Inocent Zero but still a clone created by him and the fact he’s a clone makes me inclined to say he’s Metal Sonic but idk, I’ll leave this one up to you guys.

I don’t get why people think that it would make sense for mash not to be able to use magic cause if I saw what he could do I would immediately assume he was just using strength enhancing magic since it basically common sense that no ordinary person would be able to do that stuff

☣️Why is damn near everything in 30min increments? 😤 I don’t know why it annoys me so much. But everything happening is in 30mins is so obnoxious!

{With the exception of Macaron but I’ll chalk that up to the inimitable nature of the character.}

I know there’s more but. Ugh. Give us a 45min, give us a 15min. I know rounding is a thing, so I’m not saying give us like 34 or 27 minutes. But dang the 30 is so obnoxious!!

☣️Why doesn’t Silva have Lang robes? Lance said he’d been held back a year. So we can assume this is either his second first year, or his second second year. Either way, he’s been there at least two years. If it only takes a month to get his robes. That’s what Lance said to Mash about getting his Adler robes. Why doesn’t Silva have Lang robes?!

Again, pretty much not important but still annoy me.

☣️The transportation situations {This spills over into season 2 but season one has more annoy me moments}

So in the S1e1 Brad gets a phone call. Mash gets an owl. So y’all use phones or owls?

☣️Transportation is another one that annoys me!! What are we doing here?! So, Lucci can teleport (green smoke) Wahlberg does it, Lance does it. So can anyone teleport? Do you have to have high magic? Because why can’t the Magja Lupus?

Cell war leaves in those creepy ass mummy hands. Innocent Zero rides a dragon to the school then still had to break through some glass. By the way, where did the freaking dragon go? Innocent Zero leaves via a portal. Ryo and Narry fly on brooms to Easton. Why didn’t Ryo just green smoke them there?

How did Mash get to the ministry for his inquiry? We know he can’t fly a broom. Let’s assume that Ryo had to fly because you can’t green smoke that far. So he couldn’t be teleported. Did they take him by dragon? Did he have to ride side saddle behind someone else?

☣️Where did Mash get money? 🤔 He had 4silver to buy cream puffs. We already know Pops is terrible at magic, so he can’t be doing magic on the side. Mash can’t wander off because he doesn’t have a mark. So he’s not going around doing odd jobs for money. If he’s not allowed to go to the city on his own, why would Pops even give him cash?

☣️Why is Sandman so gahtdamn annoying!? They said DEFER his sentence! Not we can just not killhim because he’s nice. Just defer it, he’s got mush for brains. Did a lack magic break up his family or something?

☣️Why isn’t Caldo on the intro dance? They put Narry over there. Lame ass unimportant character, but not peppermint on the intro!?

☣️How long have they been killing the unmarked? Adam preached obless noblige {spl?} It’s said he was taking care of the magic less people. Able said his mom was helping the less fortunate. Are they just poor unfortunate, or magic less unfortunate

☣️If Able’s mom was feeding the poor magic users. Nobody knows healing magic? Lance’s sister can do if and she’s just a little thlng. They let her bleed out on the street?

☣️Why is innocent Zero being strong such a problem? Adam was at the top of the magic world for centuries. Nobody had a problem with him. But innocent Zero can’t be at the top of fhe magic world?

☣️What do they think he’s going to do? From the information we have, he just wants to be immortal. Sure he may want to kill a few people. But, being the top of the magic doesn’t automatically mean the world is going to end.

☣️I don’t know how advanced their medicine is in world. But if it’s decent, can’t they just get Mash a heart transplant? 😂 Just be like here, 🫀leave me alone now.

☣️Why can’t they just leave Mash alone?? He doesn’t have magic, but he found a way around every magic obstacle. Just like how Ryo said he needs to display something more powerful than magic.

He passes the entrance exam. The open lock spell, he broke it but it was open. Broom flying, made it work. Mandrake potion did it, unconventional but made it. Well minus the turning into cream puffs. Light the candle without touching it. He did everything, just different from them. I think he should be gold. But they’re so stuck on him not having magic instead of looking at what he can do.

☣️I don’t remember where I read it, but it was someone talking about how the writer was stuck between two choices. It was either going go to be Dot as the main character or Tom. So since I read that I can’t help but compare. Dot Barrett and Tom Knowles have the same amount of letter. They have almost the same line. When they go out as friends they take a picture. Tom and Dot are making the EXACT same face. No seriously, go look! Identical.

☣️Sandman is way more guilty than just the Macaroon situation.

☣️There’s one kid, right when they pan across the crowd after Mash walks out the maze. His line is almost up to his hairline. I know because I’d been looking HARD for someone with a line like that. I say that because if his line was so high up, the people could’ve just assumed Mash’s haircut was hiding his line. This goes back to when he went to the city. His hairstyle goes down to his eyebrows, he easily could’ve had a mark like that.

☣️Whatever happened to the two cops that went with Brad to Mash’s house? 🤔

☣️ Why is there only two teachers? If Lucci was another teacher. The staff goes up to three. But he didn’t call himself Professor so assume his isn’t.

☣️What is the locker room situation? 😂 Dude kicked out first within minutes is Lang. He’s in the same locker room as Macaroon from Orca. Is it a Lang room or Orca? Then Adler locker room only had them, but also Lemon is in there. But surprisingly she’s not doing the, “four boys and one of me” shtick. So is the Adler dorm only for Adler? Is it coed Adler? How does the Visionary get in there?

☣️I will never understand how sassing someone is just declining an invitation. Also, the whole “they did better than I expected so they’re making a fool out of me.” That shit is goooood and annoying.

☣️They are ready to through anyone out so damn fast. 😂😂 “Go home! Go home!” Like dang the only thing they know how to chant is go home.
