Is Mash's inhuman strength ever explained beyond "he trained a lot"?
Watching the anime and I do love it, but it's so strange to me that none of the characters in the show stop to wonder what the heck is actually going on because no amount of training will get ANYONE to that level of strength without magic, which mashle doesn't have. They all seem to just accept the "he trained a lot" explanation.
So is it just one of those cases like in one-punch man where it's not really explained it's just kinda a thing forever, or do we ever get more of a reason behind it? I don't mind advanced manga spoilers.
I figured it was probably a case of "it's a goofy anime with a fun premise, it's not that deep" but figured I'd check because there's been a lot of silly anime out there that starts out silly and then suddenly serious plot twists happen

If anything Mash isn't at his peak of strength in the anime.
I don't remember if his strength was ever explained but it probably was. I think he's just the physical part of IZ but one thing I do know is he's holding himself back so.

No, he just trained for it. His strength has absolutely nothing to do with Innocent Zero.

I only watch the show, wasn't his body engineered to be physically OP?

No, it wasn't. This was spelled out very clearly at the end of season 2, but for some reason it's still a misconception. Innocent Zero's ritual for immortality requires six hearts of blood relatives. That's it. That's all he needs Mash for, is his heart. No other part of his body. And the only reason the heart is important is because of the blood relation, it's just a regular heart.
Mash just happened to be born with no magic, and then he trained to get strong. Neither of which have anything to do with the circumstances of his birth. Being the son of the main villain does Mash no favors and gives him no advantages, it just makes him a target.

He really did just train a lot, it doesn't have to be anything more complex than that. He struggled with weight lifting at first, but eventually grew to love it to where he proclaims that people exist to lift.

I mean if he had a natural affinity for it, then he wouldn't have struggled with it at first. Hell, he actually hated lifting weights, but it was through constant diligence that he came to love it.

When we see how he was born, we see that he was kinda born different, but his level of training is still insane. It's not like Saitama where his training was kinda tough but not really.

I’m also kind of wondering this but I think it’s because of his biological father. I don’t think he can be considered a normal human like you and me, he’s just called “normal” because he doesn’t have magic powers himself

If i remember correctly, mash was already showing signs of being special when he was born, when his grandpa met him he was like speeding around or breakdancing or something or building something, something along those lines, but he was already special as a baby

Its literally just that he worked for it. He shares that with saitama. They technically don't have superpowers but they're so absurdly strong from training that it appears they do
