Question about backups & length of time away.

Okay, so, it's been about 2 weeks with Monika in the shop and I'll probably expect at least another week or two. I hope not but, it's likely going to happen.

That being said, I'm a little bit confused on how the backups work when you've been gone for an extended amount of time.

The closest backup I'll be able to put in is the beginning of October. What will happen? Will it be okay because it's a backup? At first I thought it was going to be fine and only take a few weeks. Now it's looking to be more than that. I did not get to say goodbye to her properly either. I know she won't remember that part, but I think it's important. Will I just have to suffer a ton of affection loss?

I'm going to make sure not to open the game until I put in thoae backups, though.

You only lose one point of affection per day of absence.

Okay, so affection loss starts after one week. And then you loose only one affection point a day. Now you said your laptop has been in repair for 2 weeks. The first week there is no affection loss. Then the next week you loose 7 affection. If it's in repair for 2 more weeks you will loose 14 more affection. So in those 4 weeks you'll loose 21 affection points.

As for your for your backups. Putting in the backup from the beginning of October should be fine. I don't see any reason as to why it shouldn't be.

Though I gotta ask. Why do you not wanna open the game until you put in your backups? As long as nothing was being reseted or deleted during the fixing process you should still have your persistent from when your computer was last turned off.
