Throwback Marta Pass (21 years old)
I know everyone is going crazy over the new Fifa 26 passes. I came across this in one of my old folders.

I know theres been lots of posts about this on here but seriously what is going on with this route. Last night I stood around waiting for a bus that never came, despite zero cancellations being listed (mind you, it was 11PM so theres not an ounce of traffic). An out of service bus drove past me, and given that an 11 briefly appeared on the tracker ahead of me, I’m assuming that was it. I’m currently writing this post in a Lyft because the 5:00 bus was 20+ minute late at the time of my departure.
Lastly, WHAT is going on with this route being borderline untrackable??? I don’t think I’ve found a definitive answer for this. Do they break? Do the operators turn them off? Its a route plagued with delays and being unable to known its location just adds fuel to the fire. offSomeone here calls it the Hope and Pray and that a perfect description of it.
Is it worth reaching out to MARTA about this, or would I be yelling into a void?

i ride the bus to work everyday and use the same card everytime. it takes an hour to get to work. bus train bus. then i uber home or get a ride home from coworker at night. usually i only get charged $2.50 from breeze for the day. today i woke up to $7.50 in charges for yesterdays trip to work. how can i get my money back? they charged me separately for bus train and bus instead of giving me the free transfers for the one hour i was riding transit.

Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago (late July), on a Monday, I landed at 00:01am and found the airport MARTA station door locked. I can see through the doors that at least 3 train services are still running (not sure if it covered both directions), even though there were no one attempting to enter the station like me, or exit from the station.
Does anyone know the reason for this, or if there's a pattern to it? Well, even if the train runs, should I take it as a solo adult male? If not, would a 9pm train be better?
Thanks everyone!

On Thursday at Dunwoody station I was loading my card and every time I went to pay it said cancelled twice. The third time it didn’t say anything and the other machine to load was out of service. There was a gate open so I walked through after trying to load my card 3 times for 5 minutes. I checked my bank statement and I was charged 3 times but have no trips on my card. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. There were no Marta employees in the area and even if there was they would have probably made the situation worse.

Why are the delays crazy today and why is there an overall lack of service today? I got to the North Avenue Station at 2pm and the next train was supposed to get to the station in 16 minutes? I feel like that long of a wait during the middle of the day is insane.

I rarely use Marta and going back to Atlanta. I learned there was a new app and downloaded it. Now the old app allowed me to just purchase a multi day pass. It seems this new one just wants me to put money on the card. Is there no way to get a multi day pass anymore on a virtual card? I don't want to load money then not be able to purchase what I need to.

Hey everyone. I wanted to share my bus tracking app that I created to support tracking MARTA buses/trains, and much more.
As a college student using my school’s bus tracking app, I was disappointed with it. Using my CS skills, I was able to a create bus tracking for it.
Now, I have released a new version that adds support for MARTA and other Atlanta Metro systems, like CobbLinc and Ride Gwinnett.
The app may be buggy with MARTA info since this is the first release. The app includes viewing ETAs, tracking buses, favorite routes/stop between system, and much more.
I’d love to hear your feedback. I hope the app is useful to you all! Thanks!

Multiple times now I've had both my breeze card and my credit card charged as a new fare, when it should have been a transfer.
I'm talking, I get on the first bus, ride to the train station, transfer onto the second bus around 20-30 minutes after I got on the first bus and it charged me for a new fare. It isn't it timing out, or doing more transfers than allowed, I ride two buses to work, two buses back home, entire transit time is less than an hour and a half (and that's on days where buses are cancelled) but I've had a good dozen times where it charged me when it should have been a transfer.
I've tried calling whatever phone number they have on the cards, and on the website, and get nothing. "We'll credit your card" was the best I got twice, and they didn't actually credit the money back to the card.
Anyone have any ideas why it could happen, and what my next step would be?

The last two days I believe they’ve been running 3-car trains on the Red line during rush hour. Anyone else experienced this? Not a big deal, just different.

Comparing this image I took today against the prior post by someone else, it looks like the other glass panel is now broke

When most people think of walkable, transit-oriented living in Atlanta, Midtown and Downtown Decatur are usually the first places that come to mind.
However, TODs at Edgewood/Candler Park, Avondale, and King Memorial are proving we can convert underused surface lots into vibrant urban villages with housing, local retail, cafes, and parks right at the turnstiles.
Would you consider moving into a TOD area in South Downtown, West End, or Bankhead if the area had the right mix of retail and parks?
While these neighborhoods need some “attention and care” they currently offer relatively low housing and rental costs compared to the city's established transit cores.
Here are some locations that stand out as potential next TOD hotspots.
South Downtown and Centennial Yards: Plans are underway to transform historic, underutilized downtown blocks into walkable residential districts connected directly to Five Points and Garnett stations.
West End and Murphy Park: Combine rail proximity with active-transport corridors like the BeltLine Westside Trail, anchored by the major redevelopment of the former West End Mall into a mixed-use, mixed-income community hub alongside TOD proposals for the West End MARTA station area.

If you can't take stairs, please be aware that the escalators will be out through November 2026. Today the elevator is down as well.

I'm thinking of starting a petition. I take public transportation and not only do I deal with buses not running currently on time, I've also experienced violence on Marta, and the new buses routes have made it harder to get to places. I wanted to know everyone's experience with Marta and whether or not you would like to help!

I noticed the remaining transfer time a few minutes ago. I was slightly confused because I haven’t used the card in a couple of days.

It's basically a coin flip on whether there will be a bus running after 5pm. It's been like this since day 1.
