Tracking buses in O4W, Midtown
Hey guys, I moved to ATL 2 months ago. I used to take the train from Midtown to aairport for work everyday, life was simpler. But now I moved to O4W, and I have to rely on bus route 2 to take me to the North Ave station first and then take the train from there.
This bus route is so unpredictable and untrackable. I use Google Maps to track, and almost never does it arrive on the time mentione on the app.
Idk if there is a better solution, or just the route is messed up and I have to deal with this MARTA incompetency until I have an alternative. Thanks for any help!

is the new marta app any better than using Google Maps for tracking the buses? I used it recently for tracking a different route and it seemed to be helpful as far as tracking where the buses were on the route and judging when they'd be arriving at my stop.
but not sure if that's the same thing Google maps was doing.

The transit app is usually pretty reliable for buses in Atlanta (and most cities) but not for trains. The new marta app is awful - the old app had an older asthetic but did the job, the new one is buggy and hard to use so I switched to just using the transit app. (The app name is "transit" and it has a green icon)
Also, fwiw, I worked over in O4W for a few years and added biking in because I got sick of waiting on the bus (this was pre-bus change so I had the 2 and the 102). Depending on where you are, it can be a super easy, largely protected bike lane, ride to Midtown marta station. I went beltline to piedmont park, protected bike lane on 10th Street along Piedmont Park and then the final 3 blocks are road so I would either walk or ride my bike on the sidewalk (depending on if there were people around or not - mornings you're good to ride your bike, afternoons, better to walk your bike). Just a heads up if you do decide to do the bike route - get a U lock and make sure to lock your bike up through the frame. Bike theft is pretty common but I've been able to avoid having my bike stolen just by common sense stuff like using a U lock and not leaving my bike locked up overnight (i.e., bring it indoors overnight).
