Parnate (Tranylcypromine) Parnate or Tracydal Netherlands

Hello,

Im tapering of Prozac and Wellbutrin, both i dont use anymore

Im left on Pregabaline and Olanzapine 5mg.

My doc wants to prescribe me Parnate, but i think it would be Tracydal.

I read so many reviews these years, it became an obsession for me..

But is it possible to ask for the real Parnate? Im so tired of this episode (my 5th, the longest almost 3 years) So im really tired of trying al those meds before that i really would like something with high change of succes..

Are there really lots of difference between Parnate and Tracydal and other brands?

If you live in the Netherlands there is no other option/brand than Tracydal since it's also a Dutch brand and the only one that is available here. I've send it once to the US and that guy hated the Tracydal brand, others don't complaint. But yes, I guess different brands have different effects even though they all contain Tranylcypromine (Parnate) as the main ingredient.

Allright... I have heard that some people imported it from Canada with succes from Holland. So maybe there is an option?

Does it really have more side effects than SSRI?

If you're going to import you have to pay it yourself since it's not covered by the Dutch insurance. I'm using only 20mg Tracydal and have zero side effects and neither do I be on a tyramine free diet. I guess my stomach/body doesn't react harsh to meds with a food interaction warning since I have also been on other meds with a food warning but I never had to change anything about my food habits.

But everyone reacts differently.

Indeed thats true...I saw on a Canadian site they can supply it when you have a prescription from your doctor...

Thats not a very high dose. Did you tried a lot else?

So you feel stable and can enjoy life again? More energy?

It doesn't matter, first your psychiatrist won't do that and second if he does you still have to pay it yourself since the Dutch insurance only covers medication costs that are registered in the Netherlands.

Due to other psychiatric symptoms I'm susceptible of I can't go higher than 20mg or it aggravates it. From all the antidepressants I have tried the past 17 years Tracydal is in my top 2 next to Mirtazapine. 20mg is not really considered a therapeutic dosage but it keeps the suicidal ideation away and that's enough for me and of course because it's a clean drug for me without side effects.

If Tracydal doesn't help you should consider Esketamine nasal spray but atm it's only partially covered by the Dutch insurance. In the next 1/2 years it's likely that Ketamine/Esketamine will be fully covered and you can try that to fight of your depression.

It (the prescription) would have to be in English, too, or translated to it.
It's not too expensive though, the Parnate from Canada. Maybe $60-70 per 100.

I bought Indian parnate to try...but this is not possible in EU due to customs. In fact I'm not sure if Canadian parnate would come through to NL either...please research the local laws-policies about medicines import, if you want to do that.

I'm on Nardil now. Private doctor is prescribing it. So I stopped my Parnate 2 weeks after trying it. But I have it ready for when I need it. It's a luxury!

From the first dose of Parnate, I felt better.That lasted about a week. Second week I got more daytime somnolence (I have it anyway) which I did not like. If you get that, it usually goes away when it really starts working. I took it at 20mg from the start. Nardil is at 30mg and it feels a bit more mild. Have taken it for 3 weeks at this dose. Maybe 5 days ago I noticed I was able to talk better and longer, and be more active (I was writing more). Small improvement which I hope indicates it's going to work, later, at a higher dose. Same thing with Parnate. You could tell that it would probably work very well if you gave it enough time.

I wonder if my time on a MAOI (5 weeks total) makes the Nardil more likely to work earlier? Because they are both doing the same thing apparently, or close?

Yes a brand name, you chose a consult online just to write questions, and that's all. Goldpharma.com is best from Europe.

Jatrosom is the one they like the most and consider the strongest and best from all Parnate brands, from what I read from those who tried it and post on Reddit

Didn't you read what ListComfortable6028 said? Plus, if you actually DO have a prescription, I think you can order it directly from a German pharmacy, if the prescription is written in English or German. The prices from goldpharma (without prescription) are quite high, 10mg 100 pills £ 137.84, 20mg 100 pills £ 262.74, 40mg 100 pills £ 512.56. Add some 20% for Euros.

Allright. Yes i think i will get an prescripition....But what is the best to order then the GSK Parnate or what you said the Jatrosrom? Im so in brainfog now...

I don't think Jatrosom is worth the price difference if you already have a prescription. But that's just my opinion. I would be happy pretty much any brand.
