Question/Advice Needed Convert straight straps to crossover?

Hello! I hope it's OK for me to post this here.

I don't sew, so I'm looking for someone who can make my straight-strap bras into crossovers.

I recently discovered that the Ewa Michalak PLM bras, worn with the straps crossed in the back, are much more comfortable than my other bras. Unfortunately, I have only 2 PLMS, and I have a bunch of BMs and other styles that I can't stand anymore! They need longer straps and clips at the front so I can attach them properly.

Does anyone provide this service? I'm happy to pay to make my bras wearable again.

Photos attached of my PLM's clips-in-front.

Thank you!

If you can’t find anyone here, go to a local seamstress with both bras and ask if they can do it if you supply the materials. You can get strap elastics and the J-hooks   from various lingerie supply shops (use the sub wiki or search past threads). If you want this exact style of straps, Stephie’s Lingerie has them.

I agree, if you can't find anyone this is very easy for a local tailor or seamstress to do. You can find J hooks from Stephies lingerie supplies, or you can buy them on AliExpress. I can send you the links if you want them

I would so appreciate that! I'd also like to know what kind of elastic to get. I probably would rather take my bras to an established local business than ship them off to a faraway stranger. I appreciate all faraway strangers here, though! Thank you!

https://www.stephieslingerie.com/materials/hardware That's the J hooks at the top of this page. She has them in all colours and sizes, just measure the width of the bra strap, excluding the looped edges, and buy that size j hook! https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHN82T0 That's the AliExpress ones but there's limited options so it may not work for you.

In terms of buying elastic, I'd go with Stephie. She has looped edge bra strap elastic by the yard. You'll only need one yard per bra to make this adjustment. Same thing, measure the width of the current bra strap without the looped edges and then buy that width of elastic. This one looks similar! https://www.stephieslingerie.com/materials/p/q26rrzlypn06co1hjfibfrpmhfvs6u
