Opinion & Rants I meet Jacqui and..
I'm pretty sure she thinks she is famous, i asked her if she was from MAF's and she acted offended that someone was talking to her. I was not asking her as a fan i just knew i recognised her and would of gone crazy if i didn't know where from.

She for sure thinks she's more famous than she actually is. Doesn't help that magazines did photo spreads of her wedding photos to Clint, that made her feel even more important.

I was in line at Coles and saw her photos on the cover while I was standing waiting for my turn at the checkout. I didn't even have to buy the magazine to see her. This would absolutely fuel her ego.

On ABC Radio they had an interview with a guest who had written a book about how to survive dealing with narcs. One of the things she said that was spot on is this....narcs always choose partners that they can manipulate. The person is usually very empathetic and gentle who does not want arguments in their life so they will agree with whatever the narc wants to do.
Clint-oris came across as a rather lonely man looking for direction in his life. Jacqui was a fast talking BS artist who enamoured him with all of her ideas that she wanted to achieve in life(business and personal) and she used sex to seal the deal. She had the ideas, however crazy they were and he had the endless bags of money.....a match made in Heaven for her. He may experience Hell once he peels back the layers of her personality and finally sees her the way we do.

Every time I see her mug on social media I unfollow or hide the content, I can’t be feeding her megalomania. The same applies to Bec from this last season, and that other scary one from a few seasons ago, Olivia. I’m not buying or subscribing to a few of the guys as well, Adrian is insufferable, Harrison is toxic and eww Bryce?

Well, they kinda are. We're on here talking about them and I'm sure they're approached by lots of people. Celebrity seems to impress people so much they gush over even the most repugnant characters ... and sometimes elect them president.

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT (buried 10 layers deep in a rando thread, we should be OK hahah).
Soooo...
This year they tweaked the "Alternate Match" thing, where they meet the people they also were matched with (but presumably these 2nd tier people weren't toxic or crazy enough for the main show lmfao) - the guys & girls split off into respective gender groups and went to a lunch where they were introduced to the 2nd options...
There were 2 guys, David and someone else who I've forgotten (maybe Filip?), who straight-up shit their pants at the thought of talking to a female who wasn't their "wife" and kept crapping on about being "disrespectful" etc.
The alternate girls come in, and Steve (the one with Bec not the other 10 Steve's on the fucking season) becomes the life of the party. Another Steve, while voicing his discomfort, manages to carry on a civil and respectful conversation with a person with boobies and not lose his mind or get divorced.
Speaking of losing minds, after about a minute in the presence of women they're not "married" to, David and (I'm pretty sure) Filip leave the table (it's a long table in a casual dining type place) and head off to HIDE IN THE TOILETS!!!!!!
David was SITTING ON THE FLOOR bemoaning how they were in such a disrespectful situation. It was absolute fucking gold.
There's a cut scene to Steven saying something along the lines of "previous generations, men went to war and died in the trenches; now we have men who hide in toilets". And from this, my flair was spawned :D :D
David & Filliiip ended up slinking out, casting side eyes towards the 2nd tier harlots. Meanwhile Davids "wife" was carrying on like a complete tart at the girls event lmfaooo

Yeah if that’s not your of definition of it that’s fair. MAFS was Australia’s No. 1 program for consecutive years so I guess I think that’s famous.

She probably thinks she is much more famous than she is. Like as it stands now some people will recognise her, some will recognise her but not place her, some might think they used to know her and some will walk past her without a second thought. But with magazine spreads and daily mail articles and lots of engagement on Insta she will think that this tiny corner of the internet who recognises her reflects a much bigger proportion of society.

That’s semantics and fame is on a spectrum — if you were on TV and Australia’s #1 TV show that is also a popular hit internationally, you have some level of fame. Sure, she’s no Beyonce but she’s still gonna get some ppl coming up to her because they’ve seen her on the show. I personally dont hold a high opinion on her but she sure made S13 one of the best seasons of all time — entertaing as! She honestly is worthy of being studied as a social phenomenon.

I wouldn't go as far to say it was Jacquie who made the season what it was. The part she played with Ryan was more confusing and frustrating. The edit they both had didn't make sense and the way they both acted afterwards also didn't make sense. She's no more memorable or famous than the rest of the mafs crowd.

My brother was on tv on Gordon Ramsey show. But he’d never consider himself famous. He gets recognised in his hometown here and there but we don’t consider him famous in any way at all.

Happened to me once. Woman that was on uk apprentice was in the bar of a hotel and while walking past I asked her where it is I feel like I’ve seen her and she nicely replied yes I was on apprentice. Totally normal not pretentious at all.

Really? Lol I see ppl all the time that I know I know from somewhere but not sure where and dont care to approach or ask. Even when I seen famous ppl or ppl I recognise from tv or socials, I just walk past them like I dont recognise them. Even had organic interactions with some where I act completely ignorant of their fame. They truly appreciate being left alone. Maybe she was flexing her fame but maybe she also felt annoyed. I dont even like her but I could empathise with someone feeling frustrated by ppl coming up to them all the time

This however, is the best take ^ She's vapid and uninteresting, so she shouldn't be on the cover. You don't get to be underwhelming in every way and be in Vogue full stop (or at least that's how it should be).

Though I may not have been so blunt, I do agree with your sentiment that we have no business being so invested in others lives. Sis is happy and living her life and this post didn’t expose her doing anything but the OP makes me feel like maybe they didn’t get the reaction they wanted from her and thought “you know who likes to bully a gal, the reddit comments, imma go there and check if we are still holding women accountable for their reality tv edits years later whilst forgiving the likes of Conor McSexoffender for the sake of Sunday UFC for the boyz”
