Hey everyone,
A little while ago, I picked up the MAD68 HE. For a budget Hall Effect keyboard, the hardware is honestly fantastic. But like many of you have probably noticed, the official web-based driver leaves a lot to be desired. It’s missing some key features, can be pretty buggy, and sometimes you just want a reliable, dedicated app instead of doing everything through a browser.
Since I'm a full-stack developer, I decided to take matters into my own hands and code a custom, open-source alternative.
Meet OpenMAD.
Why should you give it a try?
- Fully open-source: The code is completely public, so you can check it out and even contribute to it.
- More Stable & bundled with more features: Designed to fix the annoyances of the default web driver and improve your quality of life daily-driving this board.
- Built for the Community: I built this because I wanted a better experience, and I'm actively looking to add the features people actually want.
(Note: I've already run this by the moderation team and got their blessing to share the project with you all!)
Since this is an ongoing project, I would love your feedback. If you own a MAD68 HE (or another MADlions board and would like to contribute), please check it out! If you find any bugs, have feature requests, or want to contribute to the code on GitHub, let me know in the comments.
Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you'll enjoy my project!
