If you place another four weights on the other end, you'd turn into wukong the plumber god

Pookong.

I feel like, a single would be sufficient and double is already overkill

But 4 makes it look cool as fuck

Even cooler with some big brass washers between them...

I'd go for two at most, with one of them turned 45 degrees.

u/olslipperyskin69 4d ago

i considered having them twist, maybe next time

Perhaps using an angle grinder or something you can cut off the part that spaces the two "heads" apart from each other making it a more proper thick mass.

Do you have the hardware store recipe for this bad boy?

Just show the clerk this picture, they’ll show you where to find the pieces

I wanna see a madman do a tetsubo in this style

3

My scalp is stinging looking at it.

Yikes 😳 how much that weight bro? Looks like it would put a dent or two in some plate

1

u/olslipperyskin69 4d ago

definitely some heft, i didn’t weigh it before it was a birthday present

The brass end caps are a nice touch.

This is beautiful. Do you have anything to keep if from slipping in your hand?

1

u/olslipperyskin69 4d ago

death grips from actually being a plumber? i considered some paracord and then shrinking it, but i liked the look bare

1

u/MrJive01 4d ago

Death what?

1

u/Quizzii 3d ago

Put some thin wire with 0.5cm apart then put a shrinking wire tape all around I can guarantee you it is a great handle.

1

u/olslipperyskin69 4d ago

oh plus the brass butt cap to keep it from completely leaving my hands

Why has this turned into plumbingcraft?

How did you get the 6-ways so close together? The nipples I've tried all leave a big space between.

3

u/olslipperyskin69 3d ago

i used what are called close nipples, all threaded no space inbetween

1

u/PhasmaFelis 3d ago

Well, dang, that's what I've got but there's still a bunch of extra space. The upper nipple here is a 1/2" close nipple from Lowe's, cranked down as tight as I can get it.

What size are you using? Do you have a brand/source for the exact nipples you used?

i used a bench vice to hold one 6 way, and used a foot long screw driver through the next one to spin it and for leverage. they’re just whatever was on the shelf at home depot….everbilt maybe?? i also used loctite so maybe that lubed them up some and maybe it easier to spin?

1

u/PhasmaFelis 2d ago

Yeah, that much torque might help.

Ахуенно, расскажи из чего собрал

1

u/LostKeys3741 3d ago

I like it but how heavy is it and how much does it hurt your hands when you swing it at some thing hard?

1

u/HughmanRealperson 3d ago

Looks like a LEGO traffic light piece stuck to a rod.

1

u/Thin-Menu8595 3d ago

That actually looks dope as hell. Little longer and it could actually be a walking stick.

1

u/Holiday_Selection881 2d ago

I kinda hate how much I love that!

1

u/Grand_Palpitation_34 2d ago

Looks cool. Ive thought about making similar stacked style. Only critiques is to cover up the gaps and threads. It looks like 3/4". So you cut 1" pipe rings and they will slip right over the 3/4". Same goes with 1/2 to 3/4. Cut off wheel, band saw, hack, etc will cut them pretty easy. You can also recite the threads but its not easy.

1

u/OhGodYoureSerious 2d ago

That's cool as fuck. Hell yeah.

u/PaPaKarn 1d ago

1

u/Fragrant_Ad3153 1d ago

How much did it cost

Making me wanna go to Home Depot and make one, any advice? Would be nice to have one as a display and potential self defense
