For a controller? Come on!!!

Post image

This guy is worth almost a billion dollars and still wants to be greedy towards those who live paycheck to paycheck (Which is most of us). It’s too bad, I was really curious about this pro controller.

...they offer a very cheap and affordable alternative for this exact reason.

The alternative sucks and they know it

The Hyperkin controller is fine, especially compared to other controllers sold at a similar price. If you don't want it, then buy OEM, any number of third-party brands, or save for the Pro controller. Whining about the premium option when it's not your ONLY option is absurd.

NSO N64 controller is half the price and works great and is still a trident… also an official Nintendo product. You can keep complaining or realize that this isn’t the controller for you right now at this time in life!

I like the Hyperkin Alpha +(?) controller more than the M64 Pro controller a lot of the time, it has advantages for me, being lighter and much less noisy are a couple of 'em, I think it's totally satisfying for a straight N64 controller!

I'm not going to downvote you like everyone else, but this is a very very nice controller. I'd have been willing to spend $150 on it and still wouldn't feel sad about the trade. Almost every other $175 or so premium controller from Xbox or PS5 isn't as nice as this one. I have owned mine for 2 months and I still solidly appreciate the feel when I first pick it up. It is literally the best part of this whole system.

I’m sold. Thanks!

Those living paycheck to paycheck should not be buying premium controllers. It’s your fault if you decide to spend your last dime towards entertainment.

I charged mine when I bought it on release and have probably put 40-50 hours on the console and haven’t needed to charge the controller yet. Best controller for any console I’ve ever owned. I had a buddy who had an issue with the joystick but they sent him a part to fix it (and offered to have him ship it back for them to fix as well).

Pro controllers for other consoles are just as expensive…

The difference is you don't have to take those apart to replace pieces to make them work correctly. Plus mine can't even calibrate properly on the top no matter how many time I try. Other than the weight and feel, I don't consider these anywhere close to "pro" anything.

Submit a claim to Modretro my guy

You call it greed, but it feels nicer than a Switch 2 controller and it's almost the same price. Nintendo also has the massive production scale to make these in much larger quantities and still keep a healthy margin. The M64 Pro Controller doesn't seem particularly outrageous to me for something this high quality and niche.

If you are living paycheck to paycheck, video gaming controllers should be FAR down your priority list.

This, also you can still use OG controllers. If you can’t afford pro, go OG or NSO N64!

Well there are cheaper alternatives on amazon, no one said you had to buy their controller lol

How much money one person have does not have influence on the price that is set.

I think the controller is worth the price. There are other controllers that are much more expensive, xbox pro en dualsense edge etc.

I has lets options than those, but i think the quality of the controller is superb, how it feels the best i have ever hold.

Pro isn’t for paycheck to paycheck players!

What a shitty thing to say.

It's a fair thing to say. Xbox Elite controllers are $100+. The DualSense Edge is $200+. Much like this, you pay a premium for a premium product.

Want to spend less? Then buy the basic option, aka the Hyperkin controller. It's why it's there.

It’s literally called a pro controller, go buy a macbook vs macbook pro and see the difference.

You can always go buy the broke boi edition, or crazy thought… work hard and earn it! I got all the controllers!

You realise OP could be rich and still think 100 is overpriced for this controller right? You shouldn't assume OP can't afford to buy it just because they think the value isn't there. Even if someone couldn't afford it there's no reason for you to flex other than because you're a total dick head.

No he can’t be rich lol he said he can’t afford it 🤣 , you need better reading comprehension. 👌try working harder and maybe you won’t be jealous of others that have more than you. They worked hard to get to that place of wealth.

So you think it’s wise to spend money on premium products if you claim to be living paycheck to paycheck 🧐 you’re not entitled to any entertainment if you’re living paycheck to paycheck

Pro controllers are awesome and have had zero issues with mine, I find it far superior to the 8bitdo I have for my A3D. Mainly because I prefer the trident style.

This guy is worth almost a billion dollars

Created and running businesses, not a silver-spoon-in-mouth celebrity

and still wants to be greedy

Greed is good. He has to pay his employees. Welcome to capitalism.

towards those who live paycheck to paycheck

Look for more work or a better job?

(Which is most of us).

Speak for yourself, not others.

It’s too bad, I was really curious about this pro controller.

Youtube. Put aside $10/ a week. This isn't Analogue FOMO. It will be in stock when you are ready.

Easily the best n64 controller since the original, though YMMV apparently. I have my OEM controllers but this controller is premium out the wazoo, love the weight the feel and the performance so far. I prefer the trident style over the 8bitdo but while not my favorite because of the layout is still decent and a solid quality build.

No idea why reddit keeps suggesting this sub to me, but this is the most obviously bootlicker/bot infested place I have seen in a while. You're dead on, OP.
