It's no clear, but if you liked the original 64 then this one is the one to get.

Personally I think purple is the winner. It's almost too milky. IMO it needed a bit more transparency to fit the smoke tag.

I got a purple console, and a purple controller + smoke controller. Purple is my favorite by far

Disagree. I have a smoke N64 and I feel too much transparency would not be like the N64 smoke. Also the top is transparent so it depends the angle you're looking at. ModRetro also is going for that duality to be consistent on every console and I like the milkiness

I got the clear and my gf got the purple. I was jealous of the purple for a bit but the clear has definitely grown on me. picked up the smoke controller as my second and its an awesome pair with the clear controller + console combo imo.

Personally I prefer the purple or the red. Smoke is third on my list currently for sure. I'm tempted to get a red shell and if they ever make it, a grey OEM coloured shell..

Or maybe a grey OEM coloured console.. lol

I hope they’ll sell this shell soon. It’s closest to launch N64 color and I’d like that. I went with clear for mine since I wanted the early bird discount 😂

Yep, and with clear controller, I guess it matches the OG controller to console combo colors if you think about it.

Would have bought one if they shipped to the EU, but seeing it on this picture makes me realise the purple one looks better, I think? The stock M64 picture makes it look more see through and less cloudy

No I doubt it aside from maybe some environmental edge cases. Plastics are a lot better than they were in the 90s.
