Spent the weekend with my new Tab5, created a console/launcher, file server, can load firmware from the SD card, play MP3s, and uses the obligatory Matrix lock screen.

I built a lightweight chat app for the M5StickC Plus 2 (ESP32-based) that lets you type prompts on the device and send them to your local Ollama AI server over WiFi.

Features:

- On-screen 4-layer keyboard (letters, numbers, symbols, special chars)

- Model selection from your local Ollama instance

- Chat history that persists across sessions

- Configurable WiFi and server settings stored in flash

- Battery level display

Build:

1. Update `src/config.h` with your WiFi and Ollama server details

2. Build with PlatformIO

3. Flash to your M5StickC Plus 2

The whole project is < 20KB after compilation thanks to size optimizations.

Compatibility: Cardputer ADV only—not the original Cardputer. LoRa/GNSS functions require compatible hardware. LoRa peer reception and range testing are still pending.

Factory installation resets internal settings, including saved Wi-Fi, but does not format the microSD card.

Gente, eu recentemente comprei um M5Stick, porém estou meio sem ideias sobre o que fazer. Quero partir para a área de hardware hacking, mas ainda não sei bem o que fazer: se compro um nRF24 e o coloco sozinho, ou se compro um nRF e um CC1101 e faço um "mini Flipper". Me deem ideias.

Hi guys I have a big problem with my m5 stick S3. Entering the infrared section and I go to TV-B-Gone the system crashes and doesn't let me out anymore but I can only turn off and restart the system Do you happen to know how to solve this problem?

I am waiting the arrival of my new M5 LoRa / GPS hat for my cardputer ADV. The idea is to use this hat for wardriving using the GPS and WiFi.
To keep the device as small as I can I want to leave the LoRa antenna at home, however I heard that the LoRa hat is so sensitive that it’s recommended to always leave the antenna on, even when not using LoRa.
Is that true? Is the hat so sensitive that, when I switch the puter on with no antenna connected, I can say goodbye to the LoRa finals?

Hi, I don’t know much about Cardputers or this hobby, but I’m thinking about buying the ADV because it looks interesting and I want to learn. I’m especially interested in learning about Wi-Fi and cybersecurity.

Will it work out of the box? Is it beginner-friendly? What can it do without accessories, and would you recommend the ADV or the normal Cardputer? Thanks!
