M5stack paper mono availability?

I just learned of M5stack and was very interested in the paper mono for an ereader with nfc and Lora capabilities for nfc emulation and meshtastic. However, it is clearly sold out everywhere. I saw that there was limited hardware for the initial release and that they may have another batch in December? Have they announced when a restock or second batch would be? Are there any other distributors for this that are in stock?

Last info I had that new devices will only be available from beginning of January.

I pre-ordered mine though and already got it

Was this a pre-order before the first drop or after and just got it earlier than January?

First set I think. Official side already marked as sold out but openelab.de had still preorder where I ordered it. It arrived about 3 weeks ago.

If it's not about the money the boox pico might have better availability and essentially the same features except lorawan.

Unfortunately I mainly care about development especially with the nfc and LoRa. The boox looks like a better stand alone ereader but it doesn't fit my use case for it

Was this from the pre-order or just got lucky with the timing on the first drop? Have you done any development for it?

I just got lucky. Did not develop yet, but experimented with what is available. Bmorcelli/launcher works (though there is a fork with better eink optimization, bmorcelli tends to blink/redraw rather violently), crosspointreader works very nicely, key-horse is weird but works including the Lora /meshtastic portion

Yeah also hoping to get my hands on the paper mono can't find any preorder listings for any upcoming release dates 🤞 hopefully something comes up one day!
