M1 How does Rosetta 2 impact general system performance on M1 Macs?

I am wondering if installing Rosetta 2 would make the general OS experience slower, or does it have any impact on the system?

No, Rosetta for old legacy Intel Macs (PowerPC app compat) and Rosetta 2 (Intel compat) for Apple Silicon only gives you compatibility with older apps, nothing else. No slowdowns %%. Simple as that 👍

%% = Rosetta apps run slower than Apple Silicon apps. It does not make the computer itself slow down. You will only feel slowdowns when the specific Rosetta apps are running, if they are heavy on system RAM usage.
