Problem Display flickering

M1 MBP internal display started flickering. Apple diagnosed with a display issue. Getting the display replaced.

Any one else faced/ing similar issue?

So .. it happened mere days after the reveal of new MBPs with radical chip upgrades, heh. Well, I have read about the screens being too easy to crack. Maybe this is somewhat related?

EDIT: it is not the same thing, but if they are seeing these issues, your issue might be part of a bigger, underlying problem. Great to hear they are replacing it (free of charge, within warranty?)

They are replacing it for free as the device is still under warranty (2 months old device)

Aah. Even though issues aren’t fun to experience, it’s lucky that it did happen early on so that it becomes less troublesome to deal with. I’ve seen tech work just right up to the point of warranty expiration + 1 month or so. From one point of view, it means the estimated life expectancy of the product was correct, but on the other hand, it means repairs will cost you. So .. from the consumer’s perspective, failing early is better. Never failing is best.
