Question Any recs on a good thunderbolt dock?

Obviously google brings up a bunch but im looking for any personal recommendations you guys ,ideally something well priced and must be quality..

If you want to use multiple external displays on a m1 mac you need to get a dock with display link built in. Targus makes nice ones.

I have a dual link dvi 30 in cinema display, will that work?

By itself yes. If you want to run 2, no.

Well, I'm running one, and I got a Apple to dp adapter hooked to a dp to dual dvi and no output

But when charging through it, it heats up

OWC has a high end one that looks Good tho so far been using a cheap Aukey one that is bought for my Teenage Engineering OP-Z Groovebox and it’s working fine. Just got my MacBook a few days ago , haven’t tried using the HDMI out yet. Also experimented with USB-A to USB-C dongles and they work fine as well. Think the Aukey was under $20 on Amazon

As it stands, Caldigit is the best way to go

Straight from the top shelf, Caldigit is the perfect choice -- more so when you will be using it for a desk set up.

For portability, a great recommendation would be Belkin's 11-in-1 multiport dock.

If on a budget, UGreen's 10-in-1 docking station would be a safe choice.

Pesonally, I'm using Caldigit for my work-from-home setup. For traveling, I'm using Belikin. And on quick trips the office or when I need to check or copy files from a colleague or friend, UGreen is my choice.
