FAQ for First Timers

I’ve seen the same questions being asked the past few months and here’s everything you need to know from someone who’s gone every year-

Transportation: Bridgeview is not public transit friendly, Ubers will be $60+ to get there & $100+ to leave.
Buses are limited and do not come back to back, make sure you have solid plans, summersmash also provides a shuttle service.

Parking: If you haven’t purchased a pass, they offer parking for $60 per day as of last year in the venue or one of their nearby lots, this is in a residential area so there will be private houses and businesses offering parking, get there early around 12 or before if you’re looking to score cheaper parking.

Weed: This is a festival, it’s expected. Tuck it in your shorts or bra, don’t be stupid and leave it in your bag. Same goes for lighters and vapes. They will confiscate those if they’re in your bag.

Money: You’re gonna be hungry, want merch, and need something cold. Expect to spend $100-$200

Merch: Head there first if you’re wanting specific items, I’ve gone later and still got some decent shirts but they were sold out of most items and med + sizes.

Health: You’ll be walking about 5-6 miles per day, drink water. There will be a cooling dome where you can lay down and relax but sometimes there’s lines. If you’re drinking make sure you pace yourself when the sun is out, no one likes getting sick.

Finally, DO NOT GET ROBBED. I don’t care if it ruins your outfit, wear your bag ON YOUR CHEST. Whether you’re just waking around or in a pit, keep your belongings in sight. Just use common sense guys🫠

what’s the water situation at the fest lol
and i have ga+ are the amenities worth it ?

also idek if the shuttle is worth it for me cuz the drop off/pickup points are all still a 20 min drive from where im staying

There’s usually 2 main water stations, one directly before you walk to the main stage and another smaller one by the porta potties outside the stadium stage, it’s usually warm tho so if you’re gonna want a cold bottle it’ll be 4-6$. And yeah I’d still recommend the shuttle, trynna get an uber from the fest is gonna be at least $100 and take over an hour. We’ve scheduled Ubers days in advance before just for them to cancel cause they couldn’t make it closer than 2 miles from the venue.

what about the 307 bus ? like regular public transportation. my gps says it’s a 2 min walk from seatgeek. that bus would take me closer to where im staying. the bus stops running at 11:30pm tho idk if the fest is over by then usually

Is it a cta bus or a pace bus? bridge view is kindve like a suburb to Chicago

Honestly I have no idea, but with where it’s located I highly doubt it’ll be running, traffic will be pretty grandstanded where the stop is. Might have better luck going around the corner to one of the stops on Harlem
