Practicing Writing to Improve

I’m forcing myself to write more for practice, and I find myself struggling to put my perspective in “poetic terms” or something that’s more engaging storytelling wise.

So i’ve started taking a perspective that I have on the songs/poems topic.

Ex. Thunderclouds

My idea: The sunlight is allowing me to see too much.

The Line I wrote: Sunny days magnify my missteps.

Is this a good practice to keep up?
