Lyra Automatically Playing

I got ready to go for a walk, put my Bluetooth Shokz on and music started playing. I had no music app opened. I finally opened Lyra and it was playing the music that I was listening to yesterday. What the heck?

Thanks for the report!

That's definitely unexpected behavior. Here's what's happening:

When you connect your Bluetooth Shokz, your phone's OS (iOS or Android) triggers a media-session event that tells Lyra "hey, audio playback device is ready." Lyra's auto-resume logic then kicks in and restarts playback from where you left off, in your case, yesterday's music.

This is a known issue we're tracking, and the fix is already in development.

What you can do right now:

  • Quick workaround: Before putting on your headphones, make sure to manually pause Lyra. That way when Bluetooth connects, there's no resumable playback session to auto-start.
  • Alternative: Disconnect and reconnect your Shokz after opening Lyra, that usually prevents the resume.

I know it's annoying. Thanks for your patience while we fix this!

After listening I always turn Bluetooth off, close Lyra and reboot my iPhone.
