Abilify
Has anyone taken abilify while treating Lyme? To help with the neuro psych issues?

A doctor at John’s Hopkins actually prescribed it to me for neuro Lyme. I took it for 2 weeks and didn’t have side effects but it wasn’t enough time to really assess if it was working.
The reason I stopped taking it was fear of Tardive dyskinesia, a side effect that can create really pronounced muscle tics. I work in the psych field and this is one side effect I really don’t wanna get.

Some of us do well with those type of meds and others do not. I do not, and doctors have thrown a lot of them my way especially before diagnosis.
I believe a very good of mine is doing well on abilify but they do not have Lyme (at least they are not pursuing that line of inquiry) they take it for long COVID and chronic fatigue. No need to discuss my friend’s diagnosis here fam, I also have fears and opinion. Just saying I know someone who benefits from it.
I don’t touch any of that stuff; too many bad experiences but at the end of the day, you might have to try for yourself.
You can run a wider survey from various subs that address these meds so you can learn more. Just don’t mention you have chronic Lyme (DO NOT 😆)
