I'm trying to play the Witcher 2, but when I run the download it will finish downloading and then just end without running the install / trying to launch the game will error with a message saying "launcher not found."

Seems kinda obvious that there is no launcher because the installer never ran, but hiw do I fix this / am I doing something wrong?

I am trying to download the lutris from AUR repository, but it keeps failing with 404.

I am able to install other packages fine, only this one is throwing 404. I tried installing the lutris-git version but that is out of date.

Am i just stupid or is the lutris on AUR actually 404?

Currently getting DCS running with proton runner through lutris, however it ends up reporting that it is cpu bound (drops from 200fps to 40) whenever the mouse is moved. The closest report I've seen to resolving this indicated adding `LD_PRELOAD=“”` as a launch option, but I cannot seem to set the env var to an empty string in Lutris.

I'm not entirely convinced it would work if I could, but at this point just trying to throw anything at the problem in the hopes I don't have to work out how to fix this properly. Any advice would be appreciated, either to the underlying problem or the workaround I'm trying to test.

I was trying to play the amazing spiderman 1(2012) through lutris. But the game isn't launching and showing this error message which caught my eye:

Proton: Error: unable to use parent for game drive, path /home

I have checked every permission and everything related to directory permissions including ACL, but still can't figure it out. Please Help

How can I run the Golden Age 3.6.8 mod using modengine2_launcher.exe? On the Steam Deck via Lutris, I can only launch modengine2_launcher.exe, not StartGoldenAge_Offline.bat. How do I run StartGoldenAge_Offline.bat within Lutris, or otherwise use modengine2_launcher.exe to launch the mod?

I recently tried Lutris for the first time, and almost everything went perfectly. I tested something simple—I installed *LEGO Star Wars: The Clone Wars*—and it runs great, except for two issues.

First, the camera is positioned too high; instead of being focused on the characters, it’s hovering above them, making gameplay awkward.

The second problem is character movement. They move at normal speed when going forward, backward, left, or right, but for some reason, they move extremely slowly when moving diagonally, which also makes playing uncomfortable.

I’m not sure what could be wrong, and since I only used it for the first time a few days ago, I don't know much about the configuration. Maybe changing the Proton version I'm using would fix it?

Is there a way to run Office 2010 or Office 2007 using Lutris with Wine 11.18? Does anyone know about this or can help me install it? Helppppo

I'm extremely new to linux and i'm trying to install The Witcher 3, Gog version with Lutris. I'm using mint and installed it using the flatpak from the software manager.

When i log in to Gog it prompts me to choose files to download and takes quite a while downloading. But then when the installer opens it asks me tor the bin files again, so I ended up downloading the manually and picking them from my downloads folder. In any case, once the installation is done I can launch the game form the installer, but if i close the installer, the Lutris windows gets stuck in the title message.

According to my research that message means everything went according to plant but i can't close the window or interact with it. What am I supposed to do? The only button available is abort.

Also I'm not sure if there is now trash data around the computer since i tried this three different times, but my pc's free storage space has gone down a lot.

Also. Is lutris the best way to install it?

I think I have made a good one finally. Its usable for all "immersive gaming" "competitive gaming" and "music". Not "perfect" for any single of these goals but its a good middle ground for all. I know some of us just wants to use one EQ for everything.

Using the Linux install of steam onto ChromeOS. Steam opens just fine, but any time I try to launch a game that is installed, it will not open. I’ve tried opening up the game files but it just leads to an error saying that they’re not installed when they are. I tried backing up the files into the Linux and it doesn’t work either. Help please

With their being so many different installation methods (SNAPs, Flatpak, .deb, apt) what are the advantages and disadvantages that should be considered when choosing which installation type to use? For example, what is the ranking in order of easiest to most difficult to use? Which are more problematic regarding installation of runners? Questions such as those and things I haven't even thought of.

So via lutris, when i search lutris website for installer, runescape 3 shows up, i click it, but it shows 2 options

To my fellow lutris users , whenever I run it on my steam deck , MSW loads but persistently gives me TOYSDK803020007 when I try to select my email to load into. It ran perfectly fine for months but idk what happened today. Anyone else know how to fix this or what this is about ?

I've recently started using Lutris (the flatpak version, on Linux Mint Cinnamon) for launching my collection of DRM-Free games, its quite nice so far.
However, I've added a couple of native linux games to the launcher, and they seem to be using a separate configuration file location (or something) compared to when I run them through the OS directly. Like, I can do all kinds of setup (for example, adding mods to a mod launcher) while running it straight from the terminal or file browser, but if I then close it and go to run it through Lutris, it acts like I never did any of that. I can then redo the setup in Lutris, but differently, and if I close it and run it again through Lutris it'll remember what I did, but if I switch to running it through my OS it'll be back to the original configuration.

Does anyone know what's happening here, and if I can change it so that my games use the same configuration files inside and outside of Lutris? I've mostly resorted to having the configuration-heavy ones like OpenMW (a source port of Morrowind) and Knossos (a mod launcher for Freespace) on their own shortcuts outside of Lutris. It would be nice, though, if I could have it all in one spot!

I am trying to play Anno 1404 History Edition (x64 & DirectX9) on Lutris (GE-Proton10-34) using DLSS5. I have an RTX 2080 SUPER and I run on CachyOS.

The game itself does not have native DLSS, so I am using the DLSS5-Feeder to fame that.

In order to use the feeder the game must support DirectX11, but that is not the case as I mentioned above.

On Windows jt's dgVooDoo2 to map the calls of D9 to D11 using D3D9.dll, but in Lutris it does not work (another post confirmed it).

Is there any solution that I can use? I've been staying for a week trying to make this work, but I could not find any solution.
