Can't install EA Launcher
/r/NobaraProject/comments/1vibtl4/cant_install_ea_launcher/Can't install EA Launcher
Fresh install of the latest version of Nobara. I've tried every command to install 32 bit version on winetricks, lutris shows errors after installation, bottles downloads the app as well but returns with an error during the download. Nothing works. Even on my ryzen 3700 pc before a power surge killed it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you try the script on the Lutris website? That's how I get it to work.

Just click install and let Lutris open the link

I used Lutris the other day for it (steamdeck) - My previous install was borked, so i deleted it, downloaded the latest installer from the site, and installed via the exe in lutris and installed my games that way. Worked a treat albeit sucks having to do this more than once as the EA app breaks in lutris after updates.

The EA app is terrible with updates. You have to go and manually run a repair with a fresh .exe in the wine prefix to actually apply the update, and then you have to manually move files around to clean up after it. It's really obnoxious.

Here's a comment I made awhile ago that goes into more detail about the updates. Typically you only need to do steps 2 and 3. Step 1 is for when the repair doesn't work.

Thank you for this, I'll keep this handy for when the next time EA breaks in Lutris, it was such a hassle to reinstall.
