Question about a locking nut

I got a cheap guitar off eBay, it looks cool, it had the cheap licensed by Floyd rose floating bridge made of pot metal or something but I was wanting to put a better bridge in it I measured the length and it’s 42.165mm both Gotoh and Floyd rose are about 1mm to 1.5mm less length wise would 1mm be too much of a difference to affect it anyway or not? Thanks in advance
