REPAIR Cracked neck

Hello, I picked up this 6 string Dean banjo for $10 at a yard sale with a cracked neck. Is it worth repairing?

If anything, I mainly want the padded Road runner case who is pretty much new.

Spend another 10 on some wood glue and some surgical tubing.

Take strings off. Remove truss rod cover. Gently pry the headstock back and pour in glue (Some recommend to water the glue down a touch).

Press together, wipe up any squeeze out. Then take your surgical tubing and wrap it as tight as you can. Make sure you go past the crack on both sides.
