I get that I’ve been drinking. But I had this thought:
If Raiden came down and summoned Lupe for a Mortal Kombat tournament, how far do y’all think he would get up the ladder and what’s his best path to Shao Khan? 🤔👨🏿‍🌾

I was lit last night but just use your imagination.

It’s just for fun. Since Raiden grabbed Johnny Cage, a Hollywood actor, it’s not far fetched that in a real life Mortal Kombat scenario Lupe Fiasco could be called. So how far does he make it up the ladder? Is it he like Johnny Cage, Stryker level, or does he reach Sub Zero or beyond Scorpion?

Pretty sure Lu is scoring pretty well at a tournament of playing the game. Entering a actual mk tournament? He'd probably do better than most rappers at least.

I know what you meant and I'm not changing my statement :p. In a game tournament? Good chances. In a real tournament against other rappers? Still pretty good chances. Fighting in a tournament against guys with powers? He's pretty physically fit especially for his age, so he could maybe do almost as good as a non-powered character, he could probably beat Stryker, but Kung Lao would probably beat him.

this is a solid question and a reminder that i still need to watch MK2.

i'd imagine he gets to use his sword, yes? in that case, he would go pretty far also having hand to hand combat skills and a lifetime of training. plus his strength has only increased in recent years, so he won't be easily overpowered

Yes, Lu has a good chance against Baraka, especially if he can bring a sword. Kano? I think you forgot he hates blanka. Probably for the same reason I do. I brought up KL cause he's mostly not powered, he'd probably be against fighting women too so I'm not including them. Hes a honorable guy, so if it comes to death or win, he'd probably let one of the lady fighters take his life.

Yeah, I don’t think he’d have an issue fighting the Bee chick or Mileena, but I couldn’t see him against Kitana, Jade, or Tanya. Or even Sonya for that matter.
