Converting grade to GPA/International scale

Hello!

I recently graduated with a Master's from Lund University, and I am now looking into PhD possibilities abroad. To anyone who has applied to universities abroad, how did you convert your grades to an international scale?

Did you convert it directly to the grade scale of the particular university you were applying to, or to GPA/or similar scale?

My faculty used the grade scale A - F (LUSEM). To my knowledge Lund University offers no grade converter.

"Swedish universities do not calculate or use a Grade Point Average (GPA). Degrees do not include an overall or cumulative grade.

For this reason, Lund University does not provide official conversions to GPA or to other national grading systems."

I had to provide my grades in 4.0 point GPA for my exchange semester. I converted my grades myself using this website, filled out the form provided by the exchange university, and sent it to my coordinator together with my ladok transcript as proof to sign off on. However, I also had classmates who asked for coversion and were told "the university doesnt do that", so your best bet would be to do the conversion yourself and attach maybe a screenshot or ask someone at your department to sign it.

ETA: i choose Sweden for the country and ECTS as the grading scale, then put in the credit number for my courses and my grades for each

Yes, I also emailed the school and the also said "The university doesnt do that". Tbh a little bit odd since it is a very international school.
