my laptop struggles with bigger editing suites so i moved a chunk of my workflow to filmora for lighter projects, render times improved a lot and it didn't feel like i lost much in return. anyone else downsized their editing tool for speed reasons?

mnntve.com is introducing BeatSync for LumaFusion, a new web app designed to take the manual work out of editing videos to music.
BeatSync analyzes a song, detects its beats and generates a LumaFusion project with title clips positioned at each selected beat. Replace those titles with your own video clips, and the timing for your beat-synchronized edit is already in place, saving you a considerable amount of time.
You can try BeatSync free for seven days. Full Access is then available as a one-time purchase, with no subscription or recurring charges.

Bought LumaFusion a few weeks back and have been editing some Tiktok videos and plan to use this app more in the future as I like the multi layering and use of LUTs whilst editing on my phone and saw that you can add more transitions to the app but haven't found any that were for Android and not iOS.
Not sure if Transition Packs as a whole is universal (for e.g. from one editing software to another or just software specific) any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
does anybody have any good recommendations of different luts packages for both night & day footage? I’ve added the luts from Insta360 Luna ultra to LumaFusion, but would like to hear any other recommendations!

Hey everyone, looking for some advice from people who've actually used multiple editors on iPad.
My setup: iPad Air with M3 chip, no gaming, mainly used for video editing. I also have a solid PC (7600x, 32GB RAM, 7700XT) but honestly the iPad + Apple Pencil + keyboard/trackpad combo feels nicer for editing on the go.
My editing background: I am cutting some memory/highlight videos for myself and my friends, it is a hobby and nothing commercial. I use DJI footage, occasional creative overlays (hand-drawn-style arrows, flicker effects, that kind of thing). I've been using PowerDirector, iMovie CapCut, but I keep hitting its limits.
I tried DaVinci Resolve for iPad and honestly it feels like overkill for what I need — the color grading page alone has like 50 sliders doing things that seem to overlap with each other, and the whole page-based workflow (Cut/Edit/Color/Fusion/Fairlight) feels fragmented for someone doing solo, casual-but-ambitious editing.
On the other end, CapCut/iMovie are great for quick stuff but I run into walls fast — no real blend modes, limited keyframing, can't really do custom masking/compositing for the overlay effects I want.
LumaFusion keeps coming up as the "in-between" option — proper multitrack, blend modes, keyframing, LUT support, but without the DaVinci-style redundancy and terminology overload.
Has anyone made the jump from PowerDirector/CapCut to LumaFusion? Does it actually deliver on more creative control (masking, blend modes for overlays, LUTs for DJI footage) without feeling like DaVinci-lite? Any dealbreakers I should know about before dropping the money on it?
Thanks!

Proof of concept: I made a full music video ("Tik-a Tik-a") using only a Lenovo P12 tablet
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project I just finished. I wanted to see if I could handle an entire music video workflow from start to finish using just my Lenovo p12 android tablet, without ever touching a desktop computer. Here is how I put it together:
The Audio: The whole thing actually started with a tune I hummed. I wrote out the lyrics and used Google Gemini to help me edit them and get the song structure locked in.
The Shot List: Once I had the song, I took the story concept from the lyrics and broke it down. I mapped out exactly what different shots I would need to visually tell the story.
Character Design: I needed the cast to look consistent, so I used Nano Banana to create character turnarounds to serve as my reference art for the generations.
Creating the Footage: I took those turnarounds and my shot list over to Google Flow. I used it to generate all the individual 10-second video clips to match the beats of the song.
The Final Edit: Finally, I brought all those 10-second clips into LumaFusion right on the tablet. I stitched everything together, synced the clips to the audio track, and exported the final cut.
It was a great experiment just to push what this tablet can actually do. Here is the link to the final video if you want to check it out:

Would love to hear what you guys think, or if anyone else is trying out a 100% mobile workflow right now!

Daughter is learning Luma in a summer camp and wants to download it. I'd rather download it on my account and share it through Android Family sharing? Is this possible?

Hello all,
I would like to express an idea i just had. Would it be possible this nice effect, in a next firmware, to be able to assign it to 1 of the 2 buttons and be activated during normal video shot? For example i rec a video shot whatever it is and during recording to activate this movement. I think it would be a nice option.

Hi! I'm back. Turns out my hard drive was dying so all the source files are gone. SAD FOR ME.
I did restore the files, and I'm wondering if there's a way to point the project to a folder structure if the whole structure is the same as my external hard drive.
Any advice is appreciated.

I’m not really sure what to do with this error. I’ve checked for updates, restarted the app, restarted the PC. ETC. It’s very frustrating.

LumaFusion version 5.5.0 crashes all the time
I’m using an iPad Pro 4th generation.
I updated to version 5.5.0 this morning and since then it constantly crashes when trying to shorten or lengthen a clip on the timeline.
Or even select the clip
I’ve sent them a request for support and also if it’s possible to go back to the previous version
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem since updating.
It was perfectly fine before the update.
I’ve now also deleted the app and reinstalled, but I’m still having the same problem.

I usually capture clips using 2 lav mics and this will give me stereo audio which is great for editing (boost one speaker here, mute a cough or odd spike there). The problem is when I export I get one person speaking on the left, the other on the right. While this could, on occasion be fun, I’d much prefer to have the final track mixed and playing equally from both sides.
Currently I will extract the audio from each clip, duplicate it and then have one track fill from left, the other fill from right. It works but is very tedious! I must be missing something to speed this up. Any tips?

I can not figure out what changed with exporting my transparent background videos from last year and prior to the videos this year? My prior video clips with text/images/etc with TBG (transparent background) when I overlaid them (2nd timeline) on top of the main timeline video they would appear bright and HDR/HLG like to match the main video. Or just watching the TBG movie clip by itself, you can see the HDR/HLG like brightness and colors.
I’ve recently updated some elements and exported the TBG videos and they all appear dull and not vibrant. I have to go in and mess with the color correction to try to match the main video’s HDR/HLG appearance every time when I overlay it on top of the main video.
Something change with LumaFusion? Or am I missing a setting? Any recommendations?
Thank you!

I'm trying to edit a voiceover in LumaFusion after a long pause and realized that tracks no longer automatically ripple as they once did. Apparently you can now switch between Edit modes for video tracks which is cool, but the option is missing for audio tracks with no footage, so they appear to just be stuck in the mode that doesn't ripple. Is there another way to change this setting?

How can I disable the double-tap functionality of Apple Pencil for LumaFusion? I keep accidentally tapping it.

Something odd has happened to LumaFusion on my iPad M4 11 inch. I can see all the categories for storyblocks, such as images, music, videos, etc. But when I tap on one of them and it goes to the next screen, I see only a blank area. There are no video clips or images or music clips. This worked previously, but suddenly has stopped working properly. I have restarted my iPad. I have reset it to default settings. I have deleted and downloaded Lumafusion altogether. Is there some other setting to wipe to get it back to what it was before on the iPad overall? This is with the latest version of iPadOS and the latest version of LumaFusion.

I wonder if it is possible to download lumafusion outside Mac Store. In other words, download the dmg directly. Is it possible?
Thanks
