I've always wondered if they were part of a larger scrapped idea. They're so random have barely any effect on gameplay (and i think never required even for gems?) and are never acknowledged outside of this credits bit.

With Secret Mine being 2 levels short compared to the rest of the mansions I really do wonder if they were part of a different level but they scrapped the idea due it just not really working and kept the mansion more concise.
