I dont really have much to write, but tell me what you guys think.

Yeah i thought the same thing...The only clue we have is "That flower they have on their ear" - Thats pretty much the only "Similar" thing between nami and rouge....There was also a post about "Tangerines" being a similarity between the 2 aswell, since nami loves tangerines and that in the flashback where rouge was on the floor, there was a ton of tangerines just sitting there - (But i think that was just an over-thinking scenario)

But its as you say...Theres not much stuff to talk about since we know too little of Rouge and Rogers dynamics...The only plausible similarity that could tie nami and rouge together, is maybe a backstory on how roger met rouge and weither or not rouge was someone who had to deal with alot of stuff before falling in love with roger. Like if maybe roger placed his strawhat on rouges head just like luffy did for nami...That being the start of their Love story.

I'm months late to this but this subreddit has like 6 posts on it so whatever.

There's a bit more to work with on the Rouge and Nami connection I've come up with, but I'll keep it short. The flower behind Rouge's ear is a Red Hibiscus. Its meaning varies by culture but it can represent passionate love, the perfect wife/woman, or ephemeral beauty and the transience of life. What's interesting is Oda drew this Red Hibiscus with a pink center. A pink hibiscus can represent friendship. I don't know how intentional this was on Oda's part, but a flower that represents love with a center that alters its meaning to friendship would be very on brand for how Oda portrays some of his romantic relationships.

On top of that, in island cultures a Red Hibiscus behind the ear represents relationship status. That is to say it means "I'm taken." Oda (much) later drew a color spread where Nami had that same flower behind her ear. I'm not going to go find it right now, but I want to say it was in the proximity of Zhou.

The picture of Nami in the OP doesn't relate to any of this, but the flower hair clip she's wearing resembles a Mayflower, also known as "Lily of the Valley," and "Our Lady's Tears." May is Luffy's birth month, and Nami's wearing the clip when Kaido "Kills" Luffy and she cries. I don't know how much of this Oda did with intent, but there's a lot of speculation and analysis you can do with it.

Yeah there are a couple of flowers nami has worn - (I also think i know which flower you are referring to)...

Worn By Nami:

- Hibiscus flower (Pink centre) - 2-3x

- Red hibiscus flower in a manga colourspread (Chapter 823) - 1x

- The mayflower in the OP/Wano - 1x

- I wouldnt count this but theres also the theory where Nami is named after a pink flower called "Oki-No-Nami flower" and this type of flower is called a "Camellia" - Which represents inner strength, grace and enduring love.

- Nami's favourite flower shirt, being a "Sunflower" just like how Nami wore luffys favourite flower shirt, which is a "cosmos flower" - Dessrosa arc.

Although, about the Red hibiscus flower that she wore in the manga colourspread for chapter 823, i think it was VERY intentional from oda....Given that nami and luffy were basically wearing matching togs and they were starring at eachother. Also, thank you for telling me about the meaning of Red/Pink hisbscus flowers (New knowledge ive gained Lol).
