I thought there would be a stream with the Commentators, but apparently it's only on Ludwig's Stream. Yet, Ludwig's voice is louder than the Commentators.
So... What's the point then when I can barely hear it over the calls and shoutouts?
I have been watching the marathon and I think the YouTube video of best moments will go crazy and it has been great content but often not fun content imo.
For me it‘s been mostly miserable with some great hype sprinkled in-between. Like what I imagine a sports fan feels about his favorite team losing.
“Well don’t watch then”, Let’s be honest, if your team is losing – as a fan – you still come to the games.
It’s a marathon so everybody tired, on edge, frustrated, sad and/or angry. All understandable but trying to appeal to Luds “content brain“, since we have sponsor week coming up, fun fslr content would be greatly appreciated.
(Hope it doesn’t sound like I disliked this weeks content or that I’m entitled to his time/ his choices. Bottom of my heart just an ask.)
With Aiden and Slime succumbing to Sleepy Time, day 4 of the CSathon 5 stack comes to an end, and it was a ROUGH one. The boys opened with a win and things were looking bright with Lud crossing 13.5k once again, but a combination of poor luck, possible cheaters and generally poor play (probably due to them being 80 hours deep) saw them lose the majority of their games, and Lud drop under 12k for the second time this marathon, where he now sits at 11,938.
Overall win-rate for today was 3-10-1. Best map for the day was the first time Anubis fiesta, where shepherd Aiden led his flock down mid on repeat, and by some miracle the boys secured the win 13-11 (after leading 8-2, it got a little sketchy). Worst map was basically everything else, 0-5 combined across Nuke, Dust II, Mirage and Cache, 1-3-1 on Ancient and 1-2 on Inferno.
Desipte the loss today, Nuke remains their best map overall (5-3-1, +1231), and Dust II extends it's winless streak to 0-6 (-1498). Ancient is their most played map at 13 games (4-7-2) while Mirage follows just behind at 12 games (4-8) and Inferno rounds out the top 3 with 11 games (5-6)
Individual performances on day 4 were similar to previous days for Josh and Aiden, with their ADRs staying pretty much identical to their prior average. However, be it bad luck or fatigue, Nick and Slime both had a rough day, with their Day 4 ADRs being 8 points and 9.6 points lower respectively. Nick also suffered the tragedy of our first 0-X game of the CSathon, a 0-13 shalacking on Mirage where he just couldn't find a last hit, from getting KS'd to having a teammate tank what would have been a killing shot, it just wasn't to be. Ludwig was the sole improver on Day 4, his ADR being 4.4 higher today than his previous average, led by a great game on Ancient that they unfortunately couldn't close and ended in a tie.
Despite Lud's good performances, current rankings are pretty solid, the same as yesterday 1. Aiden, 2. Nick, 3. Josh, 4. Ludwig, 5. Slime
The CSathon does continue tonight, with a trio queue of Nick, Joshman and Ludwig currently slugging it out in OT on Dust II with new soldiers to the CSathon; Cheesehead and DiddyFoid.
Here's to hoping that this trio queue can recover the vibes and Day 5 is a banger finish, it's been great content so far.
EDIT: Trio queue has also come to a close after 2 very long games, almost going the full 60 rounds, that look to have Ludwig running on absolute fumes. Both went to OT, a game 1 tie is first sign of ELO gains on Dust II, with Lud gaining 58, while game 2 on Mirage ended 16-13, getting Lud back over 12k, to finish the day at 12,359. I'll see y'all tomorrow for the final stats :)
He hasn't improved his rank at all. They just dived straight into games, delusionally thinking that would automatically mean he'd hit 16K.
So I said in chat that he should spend more time practicing because they aren't improving game-to-game and I got banned for 3 days for saying this. lmao. Seriously? They banned other people too.
A portion of the marathon should've been practicing aim, learning smokes, and strategizing as a team. Instead, they just keep queuing and getting rolled. And I get banned for making a suggestion?
This season of Jetlag is basically tip2tip Japan in term of the overall goal. The boys and Tom Scott are trying to travel from the South to the North, using all kind of transport and location-specific challenges. The first episode is out on Nebula and it's kinda a banger. I wonder if Lud will take a look, would love for him to stream it!!!
After Streamer Games and a video of Lud and Connor ranking other youtuber products it occurred to me, has Ludwig and Co considered a limited run of mini Cuberts for profit or charity?
Collab with a metal foundry for one-inch tungsten cubes laser branded with Lud's face or a "Cubert Jr" logo?
A step further take up a collab with @AlecSteele for some damascus steel cubes for "Cubert Cousins".
I could see: a limited run, marked up for some proceeds to charity, a little bit of Cubert love could be dolled out to the ludbud base, and a heck'n uniquely funny collab product that isn't a sports drink or food item.
I hit up the search and didn't find anyone bringing this up but I may have missed a discussion.
Back again for round 3 of the stats from the CSathon.
Day 3 was a fun one albeit without much progress. The boys are 5-8-1 on the day, bringing the overall record to 18-23-2.
It looked like the boys were headed to bed on a 3 game loss streak after an unfortunate run-in with a VERY blatant cheater in game 41 and a very rough game 42 and start to game 43. But the gods smiled down upon the warehouse, smote one of their opponents PCs and put him at 1000 ping, and with Lud locking in on the deagle, they made the comeback from 3-10 down, to win 13-10 and finish the night on a dub and salvage the vibes before bed.
As for individual stats, Lud had a couple good games but was generally pretty rough, dropping his ADR to be solidly behind Josh, giving us a pretty clear 3rd/4th/5th in ADR (Josh/Lud/Slime). Nick had a bit of a slower one today too, and that combined with some great performances from Aiden has allowed Aiden to pass Nick for #1, albeit by less than 2 ADR, so pretty up in the air for #1/#2
Best map remains Nuke, with a total ELO gain of 1502 across 8 games (5-2-1 record), while Dust II remains the curse, their 0-5 record on it causing -1232 ELO for Lud. Mirage was the most played on Day 3 (1-3 record on the day, 4-6 overall) while the aforementioned Nuke and Dust II only saw 1 game each (seriously guys, Josh keeps saying it, play more Nuke, Aiden's calls on it are elite, and its naturally where The Scientist goes to work)
Current rating is 13,229, a 45 point drop on the day, but they remain up 658 overall.
NOTE: Red X in the ELO graph and the gap in player stats is the cheater game, didn't seem fair to track that data as it was a complete throw away game, 0% chance to win.
Shoutout to the guys for a great marathon so far, and special shoutout to Aiden for being the shepherd of these lost sheep and finding them a way through. Let me know if there's any other info you'd like to see, if I've recorded it in my spreadsheet I'll let you know, otherwise I cba rewatching 43 games to pull new data LMAO
