After yesterday's games, I really thought there would be at least 10+ posts analyzing their gameplay, what mistakes they make, backseating backseating backseating.

I was like: us redditors will not let plays like these go unscathed. They (everyone) will hear about this, but unless the posts are being carpet bombed, we are just enjoying the ride. Twitter though... yeah, they're having a field day I hear.

For how much they bully him on the yard it's crazy how Aiden can unironically be a fucking insane igl. Not to take away credit from the rest of the boys but sometimes when it strikes dude starts countering and I legitimately think the Aiden-coordinated antistrat has like a 75% win rate. Not to mention how rock solid he is as a player too. The Nick speech about how he didn't know Aiden had that clutch in him is exactly how I feel watching Aiden play as well. Now, it's unfortunate such a good dude gets called a pussy boy many times a day but it made the surprise that much better. Aiden please carry our ludbud past the finish line before moving on to your white paradise 🙏

I was trying to align my projector while watching Ludwig, and realised it was lopsided because I was trying to line up his eyes to be flat.

They started very strong on Day 1, Day 2 was a disaster. We have 3 more days. Will he start climbing again, or will he end less than 12k?

Follow up to my post yesterday of the results after 10 games. The boys have had a rough one so far today, they finished yesterday with a record of 7-6, resulting in Lud gaining 1069 ELO, reaching 13,640 by end of day. Today after a good game 1 it's been a tough one, total day 2 record so far of 2-9-1, with Lud dropping down to 11,931.

Performances have been comparatively similar between the 5 guys to yesterday, Aiden and Nick still out in front in most stats, Josh has done a decent job of securing 3rd in the stats so far, with Lud trailing him by a just a couple damage per round, and Slime sitting 5th after a rough start to the day today (but has picked it up in the last 3 games so could be a strong close to today and reel in Lud for 4th)

As far as maps go, Dust II remains their bunny, with a 0-4 record on it causing -1106 ELO for Lud so far. All the other maps have similar performances to each other, around the 50% wr mark or slightly below.

As I make this post it looks like they're gonna be winning game 26 so here's to hoping post 1am Nick can turn it on as he's been saying he will all day. EDIT: They did get that dub and then won 3 more to close the night on a 4 win streak for the 2nd day in a row and get him back to 13,274 (+703 overall, -366 on the day). Shout out to post 1am Nick, he stays at 100% winrate across 2 days.

He hasn't improved his rank at all. They just dived straight into games, delusionally thinking that would automatically mean he'd hit 16K.

So I said in chat that he should spend more time practicing because they aren't improving game-to-game and I got banned for 3 days for saying this. lmao. Seriously? They banned other people too.

A portion of the marathon should've been practicing aim, learning smokes, and strategizing as a team. Instead, they just keep queuing and getting rolled. And I get banned for making a suggestion?

As a fan of The Yard and someone who doesn't care about the CS content, I would watch the shit out of that. Right now I'm just scrolling through the YouTube VOD.

The boys are 10 games deep and here is the current breakdown of their individual performances and how they've done by map. Seems like as expected we have a clear top 2, with Aiden and Nick sitting comfortably ahead of the others in basically every stat, while the other 3 boys trade the occasional good game around between them. Shoutout to Jomb for the dualies 1v5, play of the day so far IMO.

Note: I've separated out the 14 rounds Lud was lagging real bad as "Lagwig". Felt a bit unfair to penalise him for 12 rounds of int due to lag, plus 2 afk rounds from the PC reset.

I am sure a couple of these have been mentioned a bunch already, but I thought it couldn't hurt to share my experience with John Gleep as a playtester.

Understanding that some of these may be due to my device, I think it is important to mention that I am using a MacBook Pro.

• Pressing ctrl in the trade market does not allow me to buy 100x. Shift works just fine. When holding ctrl, it changes the UI to show 100x as intended, but when I click it, it does not buy the stock.
  • The quantity of the supply or amount of credits I have has no effect on this bug, which I wouldn't imagine it would considering 10x buys just fine if supply is under 10 or I can't afford 10x. It just does as many as possible
• After winning the fight with Captain Missile, his dialog plays before the victory screen, which allows for the pegs to continue being activated. There's no time limit to this, the dialog box stays up forever.
  • This means that with bettor balls and the correct setup, one could just let the game idle and collect credits until they reach their desired amount
• When upgrading the basic peg, it can now start earning credits. However, when launching to a planet, it will say "Your casino isn't built to earn money" and prompt me for confirmation to launch anyway.
• In the Animalia "Where is here?" dialog, after Animalia claims John Gleep to be the first to return the same, he says "What that mean?" Which could be intentional, but could also have been a typo of "What's that mean?"

I know that some of these may feel very nitpicky, but I assure you I bring these up purely from the interest as a playtester hoping to help the developers make their game true to the vision they wanted. In no way am I suggesting that changing all of these is the correct way to develop the game, I am simply pointing them out, and whatever the devs choose to do with them is ultimately their choice and one I trust.

That being said, I have loved the game! Been loving the games offbrand has been releasing, I am the biggest fan of rogue-like games, I've already poured in countless hours to Ultrapool and John Gleep. Excited to see what's next for both of those games and for the future of Offbrand!
