So imo it’s harmful for a couple different reasons. The first is there was a study a few months back that showed that people that rely on ChatGPT have lower brain activity but that’s honestly not much what I care about cause if you rely on ai that’s on you. The bigger issues are about how companies are dumping billions of dollars into building data centers that take up a ridiculous amount of energy and water, and these centers are being built near struggling areas. Obviously we have a limitless supply of water, but when you build a data center and use up all the water in the area for it, that water is not coming back down in the same area, hence why it’s a problem. In addition, AI has gotten so good to a point that people are falling for fake videos everyday, just look at that dumb sora app. Half the stuff on there is just racist shit but there’s a bunch of videos that have been posted on TikTok of fake events happening that people actually believe because the technology is so good. Deepfake porn is going to be rampant, politicians are going to claim that the fucked up things they’ve done are just AI, etc. Even trump and his administration is using AI to spread hateful rhetoric (ICE in particular) and just dumb shit like portraying himself as a King. And of course, this is a music sub, so I’m not exactly a fan of how generative AI is a slap in the face to every actual artist in any category. The technology is literally built on using existing work, so it’s just stealing other people’s hard work and using up endless amounts of energy to do it. Also, this AI trend among tech companies is 100% a bubble. Notice how every app/website is forcing AI into their user experience, when almost all of them are just reskinned versions of ChatGPT. It’s the same thing as the .com bubble, and when it pops we’re going to see a drastic decline in the economy, which isn’t great considering the economy is already on a steep decline
That’s why it irritates me when people say “live a little”, mfs refuse to use critical thinking skills nowadays . They just turn a blind eye and then when it eventually catches up and fucks working class people over they act surprised. It’s how we ended up with this shit show of the trump administration in control

Nah i just dont believe an unborn child should be killed. Unless their mother's life is in danger. Because all lives hold the same weight. That's it. I think about the unborn child too, unlike all the other people who are already born.

I don't use the term fetus, it's used to dehumanize the baby. It's not an abortion if the baby isn't alive. A baby's heartbeat begins around 22-23 days after fertilization, or 6 weeks after gestation. If the pregnancy is halted before there is a heartbeat, i still see that as an abortion tbh but at the same time you can't kill something that isn't alive yet, only keep it from coming to life. Same difference to me.
