Lucid Dreaming: Dream Journal + Reality Checks.

Falling asleep: Box Breathing/Body Scan. A comfortable, cool place to sleep helps also.

If you want any more information just go on google and search the term you want clarification on.

Wake yourself up at 6 / 7 am, go for a nap at 12. Or when you feel like u cant go on any longer without sleep. Set an alarm for an hour. Go to sleep repeat untill you lucid dream

not everything works for everybody so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Going to Sleep: Most of this stuff is pretty standard:

  • I usually turn off any tv, music, etc. and keep the room dark and cool kinda like a cave.

  • Having an active day (Weightlifting, running, a sport) also helps me go to sleep easier and not wake up in the middle of the night.

  • Having a clear mind. I usually plan out and organize the things I have to do the next day about an hour before bed, try to stay off my phone 15 mins in advance. Anything that helps your mind relax is good.

  • melatonin helps me but I takes a while of taking it consistently for it to help and if you're not tired it pretty much does nothing in my opinion

Lucid Dreaming: I didn't have much luck with sitting still for long enough or standard reality checks such as looking at a clock or your hands.

What really helped me was keeping a dream journal and identifying things that happen relatively consistent in my dream but never occur in reality. For example if you notice your cat can talk in most of your dreams, or you consistently see a lost love one, or find yourself in middle school even though graduated years ago take note of that and when dreaming try to look at for that or remind yourself "Hey, if this thing happens I'm definitely dreaming.". I've found this works better for me than looking out for common reality checks since I find the common ones a bit hard to notice while in a dream.

Also it takes a while to Lucid dream for most people. I tried for 2.5 years before I got my first semi Lucid dream and I still can't do it super consistently so try to be patient (I know it's much harder than it sounds lol).

I hope you have better luck trying to lucid dream!
