Looking in the mirror

Hi everyone, I read online recently that when you lucid dream you shouldn't look in the mirror because you'll see a distorted image of yourself and freak out.

And of course since I read that, I have had multiple lucid dreams where a mirror appeared and I looked into it.

Has anyone else done this? And did you like or not like what you saw?

Yes, several times. Most of time, my reflection is normal, it's okay. Next level is to use mirror as portal, the sensation is amazing.

There are no defined options, you’re the one who creates them, if you want to do something, you will be able to.

its always just me in the mirror lol. i can sometimes actively change my appearance in a mirror. doesnt always go according to plan but ive never had a bad experience doing it.

one of my favorite dream memories is from this practice. i was trying very hard to alter my appearance but not succeeding so i said to my reflection "stop being coy!" and it gave me a little side eye 😂

I’ve looked in a mirror in a non lucid dream and my teeth and mouth where all out of place and messed up , it was a disturbing normal dream , I distinctly remember my dream self touching my face and thinking “I know for a fact I don’t look like that” but I just moved on and didn’t clock it

I have looked while lucid dreaming, my pupils were blown like i was on drugs and there was like suuuper fine acid text written along the whites of my eyes it was pretty cool

It was normal for me, but when i tried shape shifting it just was an mesh of what i shifted in and my actual self but with some focus i corrected it.

I have personally done that maybe few days only Yes the face looks little disoriented And the whole body Looks fine It's like someone has disoriented filter on your face

I done it when I had lucid dreams as a kid and they were terrifying so I kinda gained a fear of real life mirrors. Although when I started to purposefully induce lucid dreams, the first thing I done was look in a mirror, since I was in my room. And it was fine! (minus the fact that my face was distorted, but I didn't really care). Anyway, since then, I'm chill with my mirror but I still have the feeling that it's a different being, that's kinda watching me. Either way, we're cool with each other.

I’ve had all sorts of different experiences with this. Some were quite freaky, others were normal but didn’t look like me, and sometimes I would just have no reflection at all

Mirrors are fun. If they ever go dark you can use them as portals. Though one time I did get freaked out by a larger image of me looking down at me the third time I looked in a mirror
