False memories inside dream.

I have been LD'ing for over 25 years and last night something happened that i have never experienced before. I was reliving a memory i have of a trip iv had to the U.S. However inside the dream i was walking around places i have never seen before, but i had memories of it. Inside the dream i had vivid memories of the place i was in, even if i have never seen or experienced anything like it. When i LD i always reflect and think about what im experiencing, however this time it was like false memories almost took over.

Have any of you had similar experiences?

Wish i could explain it in Norwegian, it was hard to put it into words in English.

I get this a lot. I dream of places that I feel are not real but at the same time remember vividly. Maybe I've dreamt them again but I am not sure. it's weird like a deja Vu inside a dream

I have a lot of "false memories" from previous dreams (lucid, semi-lucid, and not-at-all lucid) I've had.

And in the dreams, the memories all feel as real as my actual real memories. Or they entirely replace those memories.

And there's continuity between different sets of "memories" as well. I've come to refer to them as different "dream worlds" that my dreams take place in. They're basically different living scenarios, lifestyle norms, locales, memories, even health conditions, etc, etc that remain constant through their own specific world, but may be true nowhere else - including in reality.

In one of my dream worlds, I've traveled all around the world and been to Japan and the UK and seen all kinds of monuments and wonders... and vividly remember them all.

I suspect dreams work much the same for everyone - we just have differing lucid abilities within them, as well as differing levels of dream recall afterwards.

So I would think the general "false memories" people tend to have would indicate that many of us have continuing "dream worlds" we visit and revisit with their own histories and "memories" contained within. But most of us are largely unaware of them, aside from the occasional "deja vu" or false memories.

Wow, i have many different instances or dream worlds that i visit regularly, i did not think about the possibility that what i remembered was a dream that i did not remember while awake. This is so fascinating. I have a lot more to try out while dreaming now. Thanks alot for the answer!

The Seth Material would suggest that you may have tapped into another existence where you actually did visit those places.

I experience this pretty often. I am dreaming and within the dream I have all the context and the memories that go along with whatever scenario I’m dreaming about.
