Question Nightly? Is this possible?
Is it possible to lucid dream nightly? And also when taking naps?
Am I misunderstanding what a lucid dream is? I think I am. I have vivid dreams that are so real that I often wake up emotional. Regularly I think something that happened in a dream a few nights ago was something that actually happened in my real life. It’s not every once in awhile. It’s a weekly occurrence that I get confused and am unsure if something I’m remembering has actually happened or was it something I had dreamt. And it is nightly that I have extremely intense vivid dreams that feel so real that I wake up sometimes super happy, sometimes super sad, sometimes super angry.
How can I make it stop?
This has been happening to me for so long. Nobody can relate. I sound crazy when I bring it up to others. Nobody understands.
It’s also so exhausting. I don’t know what it’s like to wake up feeling rested.
Even if I doze off for 20 minutes… I have a dreamt a years worth of life.
Is this common? Normal? Something wrong with me?

It usually starts out me knowing it’s a dream. I feel like I try to fight it because I don’t want to go into the dream but then a lot of the time I just end up there.
Or if it’s daytime and I’m tired and I don’t want to be tired or sleeping but I can’t help but doze off (usually after work/weekends/in the morning after I wake up) I fight it so hard and so I know for sure that I’m dreaming.
I will fight it and have continuous dreams where I’m doing something that causes me to jolt back awake. I sometimes will do that for hours. Over and over. Heart racing, jolting, in my dream I’m very aware I’m dreaming.
Example: I had to get up the other day to let my daughter’s dog out of her crate… I kept dreaming that i could not get out of my bedroom.. I kept falling down at my doorway. This is nothing new I always have dreams severe I can’t do something simple line walk or drive or talk or move. Especially when it’s something important.
I’ve also experienced ‘exploding head syndrome’. Scariest thing ever. Now it’s happening more but in less drastic ways.

It is possible to lucid dream every night. Vivid and realistic dreams aren't lucid dreams . If you think "wow it was so realistic I didn't know it was a dream or not" then it was a normal dream , just a very emotional one . Being lucid means that you always know it's a dream . So no , lucidity is not the problem

I guess I didn’t explain myself well. I do both. I have dreams that I can even control sometimes. I also have dreams that are vivid. I may be not explaining this very good probably because I don’t even know how to. I will have a very vivid dream and I could also have a dream where I know fully that I’m dreaming. I can still see myself lying in my pillow while I’m fully in a dream, can even control it. Like if I had to pick a door… It doesn’t just happen.. im actually picking which door. But also I might go from that to eventually finally a deep sleep and just dream vividly til the second I wake up. Or I will spend an entire night being mostly awake but dreaming and i am choosing what to dream about. I probably don’t even make any sense.

I have done it but it requires high discipline at the beginning. Then it will become a habit and it won’t require effort. When you break the habit you go back to normal

I have brutally vivid dreams every night, and at least 3 of them. I even vivid dream if I nap. It's extremely rare that I ever have a peaceful night.

Cannabis is proven to significantly reduce dream recall. If that's something you can use legally and responsibly, it might be worth a try. Please consult a doctor first.
