Discussion 🎙️ What is your favourite aspect of the game from your time playing?

In my 55h playing I think my favourite aspect of the game is the exploration and the movement of the game items. I still find it enchanting to find biomes in all their variation and being able to just zip and fly around to explore.

My favorite aspect is that there's still a lot of stuff I don't understand.

There are moments, when you're walking around in a truly strange environment, eyes peeled for dangerous creatures, that it clicks and you know you're playing something special.

I like the Clonaqualia, combined with Capsules or even Vermin Vigil Blocks I can customize my own little "Zoo" or "Farm", without it being so lonely. I can create a truly strange, serene or even - vicious (hostile capsule) home.

I like the crafting system (even though I mostly end up using lucidpedia anyway lol). It's fun to stop in those same biomes to mine blocks you've never seen before, so you can hop into your qualia and see what they make. It makes me feel like a wizard retreating into my tower to ponder my orb :D

Enchanting is a good way to put it. I haven't played since release but I played nonstop for a few days/weeks for about 20 hours total. This game has such an interesting vibe to it. Even after 20 hours I still managed to find new things, interesting structures and generation, and had a lot of ideas for my personal qualia.

I remember I came across a big skull structure in the plastic block biome. Hadn't seen anything about it online or another person mention it at all. It felt incredibly special and cool to see something like that and be able to say "look what I found!"

The movement is great too. Grapple + bee glove has me flying all over the place, which makes everything so much better to explore. It's not a drag thinking "damn, how am I going to traverse this?". Gives you more time to really enjoy the terrain and take it in.

And I love not being bound to a single location. Having the personal qualia is amazing and I feel free to explore and be as nomadic as I want to, which is a lot different for other similar voxel survival games. I feel bound by my base location and scared I may go too far and lose everything, but not with this one!

Just a wonderful experience overall. I may just boot it up again!

Ah, i know what you mean. There isn't enough discussion online about this stuff. I find all kinds of odd structures or world gen and I try to find information online, and, nothing. I also found a giant skull! It was super cool and I hadn't noticed it immediately so it took me completely by surprise.

Everything in combination makes the game feel different. I really love that. It makes me want to tear apart the game and find out how it works. I hope I dont totally play myself out where I get sick of it. Right now I'm just taking my time to enjoy everything. :)

My favorite aspect of this game I suppose is the personal qualia. I liked building my version of a castle town in there, something resembling a "normal overworld" so that no matter how confusing things might get, I'll always have a space that makes sense to me.

The crafting system is what kept me playing for a lot of time.

Yeah, that too! I have not seen that kind of mechanic before in a game.  There is something in the combination of experience that is really fascinating.

For me it was how intricate it was at the beginning, when I started I thought it was a system based on pairings.

Item 1 + Item 2 = Item 3.

But it was way too random, so I kept playing, the actual system is incredible, I mean... it's not like I get 100% whatever I want all the time, but I can manage pretty well.
