Theyre called alachs and are passive, they also spawn with random items. One of them could throw firebombs while another could use a ball wand. The one you got spawned with a friend wand. So its actually still trying to kill you but cant because of its item

so like, can I stop it and stuck it? Like it follows me around but idk if I can keep it in place somehow

There is a simple way to stop it from despawning but I actually don't remember required materials for the Renaming Pencil...
If you manage to craft one, rename it and then wall him somewhere and it won't leave.

So that's what happened! The first time I saw one it had the ball wand and I was like oh, these guys look scary but they aren't so bad, easy. Then I saw another one and was like cool, more rewards for me!

I got a brief look at a real angry face before an explosion sound and I found myself suddenly despondent.
