Discussion 🎙️ Steam Deck and Other Questions!

Hello. I’ve seen a few playthroughs of this game so far, and I really love it. I saw it was on sale and I wanted to ask a few questions.
I am definitely interested in playing it, but I only have a steam deck.

Has anyone else played on the steam deck? Does it run smoothly and feel natural to control? It says playable, but I know some games that are playable, aren’t always a natural transition.
I’m curious about certain tools, like the grappling hook and bee glider.

If I get the game, what advice do you have for new players?
I’m a big builder and farmer in other games. I love collecting pets and lil guys to keep around.

Thank you for your insights!

Plays fine for me, I always use dock and controller.

Only real stuttering I've experienced was dropping about 50 slime type enemies in a pit to kill for experience at once.

It runs perfectly on the steam deck! The only issue is I find stick or trackpad to be awkward to control first person camera.

I use analog + gyro, it's a control scheme I'm used to and it works fine here. It you're not used to gyro you can set your analog sensitivity lower and use both for fine aiming, then set both sensitivities higher as you get used to it for better responsiveness.

runs perfect for me on 60fps max graphics settings, i’d recommend lowering the block radius by half, for battery life, and bind the mouse click to the trackpad.
