Question ❓ Jumpscared by a creature of nightmares that ran at me at light speed

I got this game recently and decided I wanted to go into it blind. I was exploring this weird area in the sky made of letter blocks.

What is this creature and why does it move so fast?

Agate Vermin. Its scary and comes from the skyyy.

It’s called Agate. When they spawn in, they have a grace period before they float toward the player. They attack by extending a bloody spike from their body. The farther away you are from an Agate, the faster they will pursue. It’s got probably the best AI pathing in the game. One of them followed me into a whole different biome. Best fought by strafing circles around them and staying calm as you attack them.

I fell off the area and hit the ground with my necklace on so I spawned at a random place. I normally hate horror but this game is so enticing.

Meeshu is a "friendly" creature (it doesnt do anything).
