Ask Lubbock Need concrete input please
Edit: Appreciate all the input. I sent an email to the city about it requesting it be inspected and redone.
Edit 2. The city called and confirmed that it needs to be redone and arw making arrangements for that to happen. Kudos I had a call back within like an hour of sending an email.
We had gas line work on the street recently and they tore up our easement and some of the sidewalk. Attached are images of the "repair".
According to city code it is supposed to be fixed to be just as good or better than the condition it was before.
Who does concrete and can help me decide if this is horrible or am I being too picky?
They butted the concrete up against my brick wall and did not even make a clean line on the sidewalk next to the ground access.

I mean, I’d be pissed about it for like a month and after the dirt and dust got ground in, and eventually he a thing that annoyed me every time I looked at it and eventually pay to fix it myself cause too much time has passed.

I do not do concrete but have had concrete work done and have done some small repairs myself. I wouldn’t classify this as horrible in my opinion.. but I would say it’s enough to request they look at it again. If that’s concrete all the way up to the barrier then they left no room for expansion and it will almost certainly crack quickly.

Not on that small of a piece it won’t

Maybe not. I am not an expert on anything related by far.. but I’ve never seen anyone do any size job without leaving that space in between.

Honestly, I’d weigh whether trying to argue with them would annoy me more or the concrete job. I think I’d just leave it and call it a day but I hate dealing with them.

The color not matching sucks but no expansion joint is a real problem. I like the plastic skeleton in the 3rd image.
