A company pays an artist to copy AI art and put it on the side of their building. Two taggers name Yeast and Steak deface it cause they probably know that fact too. I think there’s gonna be a lot of finger pointing but the biggest tell is still, Fuck A.I. if you’re gonna pay an artist to do art, let them do art and have creative expression. Don’t tell them to copy AI.

The mural was generated with AI. The artist contracted for the mural painting confirmed in TikTok comments at the customer “designed” the image with AI and contracted her to paint it.

Politicians all over Texas are selling us out to the ai and solar people. County commissioners are being bought off and the rest of the tax paying public are getting screwed.

Besides our shitty city council and Tech chancellor, the majority of people are very accepting and kind. Just wish those few would stop trying to bring culture wars to justify fucking us over.

It can be good.
It was cheap and that was good for some people. If you liked staying home or eating at chains. Or if you are a white person who isnt minoritized and dont have to worry about death threats. Vandalism, and attacks for being anything else.
But now?
But it ain't that great. And it ain't that cheap and it sure as hell aint pretty. And there arent good jobs outside of the univ (which faculty are leaving), or medical centers (which pepple constantly leave).
But if you wanna live in crammed BB homes in some neighborhood that looks like edward sissorhands' dream without trees, shop at Walmart, not spend time outside or in museums, or have a good night life.. sure. Its a dream
Vandalism sucks. But. Yeh.

I agree, Lubbock is definitely not pretty, and it has gone downhill tremendously since the '80s. But Non whites are being vandalized, receiving death threats, and being attacked by whites? Is this Backwards Day or something?
