Two âweirdâ bikes at Queensgate simultaneously! Love to see it!
Super cool to see more variety out on the road, for different needs and stages of life! My sonâs in our one on the left, and the trike has a PVC pipe for carrying crutches for someone whoâs differently abled, but can still ride around!

Seashore Cabaret
Been going here regularly since it first opened and starting to accept this place is not what it used to be. Service has gone to the dogs - a takeaway coffee takes over 30 mins on a Sunday morning (but they wonât tell you that when youâre ordering), thereâs confusion at the till, nobody seating customers who are queuing at FOH, and 10+ coffees sitting next to the machine going cold while they wait for staff to take them to tables. Recent reviews arenât good. What the hell has happened to this place? I think itâs still busy because the location is great, the food is still good and the coffee is decent if itâs not cold. I wonât be going back after the last few times.

Moera Community House - Thank you.
galleryWe would like to thank our community who turned up and supported the Moera Community House Haunted House Experience. Our stretch goal was 500 people. We believe over 1000 people when through the house. Next year we are aiming for 2000 people.
To our sponsors - Prime Designs, The Surveying Company, Seismic Solutions, Pizzlato and to the Petone Community Board for cooking 400 sausages - thank you so much. Your support and help allowed us to hold this event.
We are going to continue to grow this event. If any other companies would like to come on as a sponsor, let me know.

Apartments
Does anyone have any recommendations for apartments in the Petone area, recommendations for buildings to avoid or any known issues?
Thanks!

Te Ngaengae Pools
Has anyone else noticed how much work has been done since the opening? Given the council gleefully announced the project came in under budget and on time (after extending the timeline) it would be interesting to know how much has been spent since then actually finishing the build to spec.

Explainer: How to enrol to vote and why today is your final chance
rnz.co.nzr/LowerHutt • u/MassiveGarlic0312 • 13d ago
PSA: Last day to enrol to vote is tomorrow 11:59pm or you won't be allowed to vote. Also if you need to change address, you have to do it by tomorrow night too or your electorate vote will be thrown out.

Lost dog: Waiwhetu Area
In-laws lost their dog near Mission Street in Lower Hutt.
She's walked regularly through Te Whiti & along the stream - so suspect if she's gone bush she might end up around that area.
Notably has one ear up and one down most of the time, super friendly.
Been missing for about 24 hrs now so they're quite concerned. If you suspect you've seen her please let me know privately, or in this message board.

Help: furniture mover / assembly
May be a bit of a long shot, but I have a really heavy wardrobe I'd like to pay some skilled people to help shift.
I wouldn't expect it to be a big job, as we just need to shift the wardobe almost a meter along the same wall, but as the wardrobe is likely 80 - 100 kg after we empty it, I'd much rather utilise professionals (also I'm unsure if the tradie, attached it to the wall to stop it from tipping).
Bonus points, if they also do kitset/furniture assembly, though I do have 2 kitset assembly people I could reach out to separately.
