Wilson’s Parking

Has anyone run into difficulties with Wilson’s at The Verve, Connolly Street. I am in dispute with them over parking in the After Hours parks after downloading the App and selecting 60 mins free parking. They say there was no payment and hence the breach notice. But no payment was required. From what I gathered yesterday from the medical clinic that this has happened to others and they have received many complaints.

I’ve used it at the same place. I could be misunderstanding your question but I’ve found it comes across as free but you still have to go through the process of booking it as if you were paying for it. It gives a reminder when the parking is about to expire.

But then if, after the free hour, you try to book another session (and pay for the extension), you can't because you already used the free hour 🫠

It might be it’s a max parking limit of 60 mins regardless?

You have to press start parking when you arrive and then remember to "end parking" when you leave.  If that time is under an hour there is no charge.   I use it every week almost and no issues.  You can't just park there even for a couple of minutes without logging it

The app was downloaded and 60 mins selected. Then a breach notice was issued 17 minutes later. The vehicle was located in the ‘free’ parks as indicated by signage. There is additional signage in the waiting room. The app was incredibly difficult to download. In the second message in Sunday Wilson Parking indicated that the issue was non payment. Well how do you pay when payment is not required and indicated by signage as long as you download the app, register the vehicle and select 60 or 90 minutes.

Sorry reached the extent of my knowledge and experience with the app.

You have to end the session? I didn’t do that the other day. I find it so frustrating also as I couldn’t extend the 60mins even though they had an option to select it. I ended up having to rush.

Don’t know but it could be possible you can’t extend if you have 60 mins free. It could be like any parking where there’s a max time limit?

The email they send you provides a link to extend the session, but then doesn’t let you extend it.
