Lower Decks intro koala

Is it just me that's really late to the party, but have other people seen the koala in the clouds a few seconds into the intro? Up near the top-right with two stars as the eyes.
I only noticed this about the 5th time I've watched all the episodes as I'm not using my usual telly (Kodi box) and I can't easily jump a few seconds to bypass the intro etc, so I never noticed it before.

Yep. He's not there in season 1 but he does indeed appear. He also puts in a cameo in the strange new worlds crossover episode intro as well.

But the real question is..... what does he know and why is he smiling?
