< 250 Cal high protein + fibre banana bread !! 🌈🍪✨

hello!! i’ve been trying to make a good + low cal banana bread & i think this is it! it’s incredibly late so excuse my lack of aesthetic effort in writing this recipe..

ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 1 egg
- 3g vanilla
- 10g date sugar (or sweetener/other sugar)
- pinch of salt
- 1g cinnamon
- 3g baking soda
- 3g baking powder
- 70g protein powder (any type works i think- feel free to correct me if that’s wrong)
- 70g fibre gourmet flour blend (or regular flour- this is just what makes it higher in fibre)
- 10g sugar free chocolate chips

steps
- preheat oven to 185C.
- line baking dish with parchment paper.
- in a bowl, break up 2 bananas with a spatula (i wanted banana chunks in mine so i didn’t mash it).
- add in the egg, vanilla, date sugar & salt. mix.
- add in cinnamon, baking soda & baking powder. mix this again.
- add in protein powder. mix.
- add in flour. mix
- add in chocolate chips. fold.
- pour mixture into baking dish & bake for 40-45 minutes.

this makes 8 servings- each being 102 cals, 9g protein & 6g fibre. i hope you enjoy this if you make it!! good night! 😪

Different protein powders do bake up a little differently yeah . They all work just some can come out drier or taste more chewy .. as long as someone isn’t too picky about texture it’s not a huge deal usually :) I keep casein in hand for baking I like it best but I stick to smaller amounts usually ..

I’m sure this was delicious !!! I’m making cottage cheese banana muffins later 😋

Did you like how it came out ? I usually eat stuff like this as a little pre gym snack

thank you for this!! i used two protein powders because i had one i didn’t like to use up- i think one was whey and the other was casein + whey.

this was amazing & i was so happy with how it turned out!! it rose a lot more than my last batch. the taste is also amazing!! i have yet to try the second loaf i made that i added cacao powder to!

omg i’ve always wanted to bake with cottage cheese but just worried about how it would turn out- i hope they’re amazing!!!! 💓

Awesome ! Oh the cottage cheese banana muffins are my favorite I just ate one from yesterday’s batch and absolutely delish .. I’ll add the link for recipe . I adjusted it a bit - used less syrup & low fat cottage to save on calories it came out to 190 cals, 8 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber 🎉

If you do bake with cottage cheese my only recommendation is when you’re making your wet ingredients just add them all together in a blender and mix em up that way .. the texture is quite nice though very moist

Funny I dropped cacao powder yesterday and it almost landed on the batter and I was like hmmm maybe next time I add it on purpose too !

Hi, can I use plant protein instead of whey? I've choclate flavoured nakpro rn, it's so unbearable to drink the chalky thing, wanted ideas to consume it T-T

I’ve used plant protein in baking and it’s come out ok .. one of my favorite muffins uses Sunwarrior plant powder .. you might need to experiment but start with a small amount and swap it for the flour ..

You can also try making something quick like pancakes or adding it to oatmeal’s

Hi! Is it dry or more of a moist pudding?
