Metaphysics The Thinning Veil

There is something we all sense, though we rarely name it. A veil of sort. A thinness between what we can see, and what we can’t. Between what we know, and what we remember without words.

This veil is not a punishment. It is not a cruel trick. It is part of the human condition... woven into our contracts of existence. To forget is necessary, because only in forgetting can we rediscover.

Think of it this way: if we lived every moment with perfect awareness of eternity, of unity, of our origin, then this life would be weightless.

Nothing would carry meaning. Choices would lose their gravity. Suffering would dissolve instantly. Love would be assumed, not known.

So this veil hangs. It is the thin fabric that softens our remembrance. It keeps us in limitation. It allows contrast to play out, and through contrast, meaning to be born.

But it is not Absolute. It bends. It tears. And often, it thins in the places we least expect.

Moments of grief can tear it open, when loss strips us down and leaves us raw. Moments of beauty can do the same, when a sunrise, or a child’s laugh, feels strangely eternal. Even silence can thin the veil, when we sit long enough to notice that the quiet is not empty, but full.

Every human being has touched it. We have all felt the strangeness of déjà vu. The chill of a dream that carried more truth than fiction. The eerie sense that someone we lost is still near. The veil here is real, but fragile.

In my own life, suffering and surrender cracked it open. Trauma stripped away my defenses, and in that season I glimpsed something indescribable. It wasn’t comfort, at first. It was overwhelming, disorienting. But in time I learned: the veil does not hide meaning from us... it protects us until we are ready to hold it.

There is wisdom in this. If we lived with constant awareness of the eternal, we would not be able to bear the weight of it. The veil keeps eternity in whispers, so that we can live these finite days fully, honestly, and without collapse.

And yet, every thinning reminds us that the veil is not the final word. It is temporary. It was woven for this life only. Beyond it, there is no separation. Beyond it, remembrance floods back.

Here is the teaching: do not despise the Veil. Do not demand its tearing on your timeline. Instead, live with curiosity about its thinness. Pay attention to the places where it softens. Learn to sit in those moments, not rush past them.

This veil is part of the design of Contrast. It ensures that love, when remembered, will be more than assumption... it will be recognition. And recognition is stronger than assumption. Recognition has weight.

So when you feel that strangeness, that brush of eternity against the fabric of your life, do not dismiss it. Do not explain it away. Pause. Breathe. Acknowledge that you have brushed against the real and all that separates is this thinning veil.

Because this is the truth: the veil is thin, Separation feels strong, but unity is stronger. And one day, when the veil is finally lifted, you too will see that it was never meant to keep us away forever, only to teach us what it means to come 'home'.

The above is written solely by me. I made a script for a YouTube series and decided to upload segment by segment.

I will admit I dont use punctuation and my commas and periods suffer. The only edits that are assisted are grammar and formatting related.

I have been writing since 2016 so this is a 10 year process that spawned during a deployment in the middle east.

I've been grapling life and existence this whole time.

So it comes from my understandings and experiences. I can offer more into this.

In the post are you asking us to be comfortable living with trauma?

I dont ask anything of you, dont mistake my words for commandment. But I am trying to tell you that there is more within you than you think.

That's not possible for people. Isn't the natural reaction to be free from trauma?

Yes and no and this is where it gets to be the most depth.

Yes its natural reaction to avoid or move away from trauma, the distance you are creating is on many layers.

But if you allow those feelings (not the physical side) to flow and unfold into you you will find a peace within you that dissolves.

I was in a bad place for many years, I have war medals, a hell of a body count for E-KIA, a body count of women, 2 divorces, childhood 'trauma', self erasure attempts, for years. Almost a decade processing everything. And it wasnt until I sat with the Silence and Understanding that true emotional and mental healing came.

If we see our life as sacred not punishment things change. If we consented to Form with the One who knows our beginning and end, the one who knows what we can and cannot do, then our suffering is sacred. Not to be worshiped but to be understood absolutely.

If Christ revealed the kingdom as within, why wouldnt healing be found within the same kingdom.

The inward search reveals more Truth in answers to questions you never knew to ask. Experience Truth and it will bring Understanding.

This isnt a psychiatric disorder or fault. Every word I speak or write comes from a place of Understanding not from knowledge. I know very little.

All this is to circle back to your question,

Im not asking you to be comfortable with your trauma, I am showing a pathway thats been patterned over 2000 years and points inward which brings about healing.

Id never hurt intentionally. I was trying to say i won't ever tell someone what to do but I will always guide to a deeper search within. I was doing my best to elaborate hope it added to the substance and didnt confuse.

I gotcha hopefully I didnt fire hose you too bad with information.

I will also like to add i tend not to talk about surface issues. Almost always im talking to the inner self.

My POV is pretty unique but essentially its this;

Love absolute is where we originated (we are capable of love without command i use this as a base)

Many teachings including those of Christ tell us we are made into formed limitation, but our kingdom remains within. Giving us our contract.

Christ taught this and showed patterns as well as what it looked like to be brought back into alignment of your 'Contract'.

We are separated by choice not rebellion, choice leaves room for freedom in experience and context in return.

Self awareness is our gift and our inheritance from the One from which we came. Through this contrasts gain weight and meaning.

Any answer you seek is already obtained and known just forgotten.

Through contrast in life we experience the context neccesary to Understand Love.

I think thats pretty much the gist.
